About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. You know what’s funny? That Ulta ‘exclusive’ Lights To Go Blendable Lip and Cheek color set for $29 has been at Macys for at least the past 6 months!!! I bought it there when it first came out, same package, price and colors!!! The amount you get is very minimal in each stick, but it seems kind of weird they are re-promoting this as ‘new’ and ‘exclusive’ to Ulta as a ‘holiday’ set, when it clearly is not. I’m sure I’m not the only one who caught this!!!

We are indeed Sistas! I had an initial “must have it!” reaction when I saw the L.A. Lights blush/bronzer/highlight palette…but then I really looked at it (albeit in photos) and decided I have enough dupes to skip.

I’m debating, I love the blush shades but question the highlighter ones 😀

Muse I saw the Blush palette on Ulta website. I am debating on it. It looks very pretty but I just got the Tarte Bb blush book 2 and the Tarte blush color wheel. I also ordered the Becca one with 3 blush shades from Ulta the other day. Do I really need more blush? Plus. Is the Smashbox blush made in China or USA?

    • Isabella Muse

haha gotta question whether I need more as well. Not sure where it is made, don’t have it yet!

  • Tori

I got the blush palette today. I will need to play with it a bit, but it doesn’t seem all that pigmented.

      Tori,
I am glad you posted this. I almost ordered this today and at the last minute removed it from my cart. You just saved me from having remorse over not getting it.
