The Tarte Pretty Paintbox Collector’s Makeup Case launched this weekend during the Sephora Holiday 2016 Event Preview in stores and online at Sephora.com for Rouge Members but it should be available shortly for everyone else.

This comes housed in a gorgeous hard case that folds open to reveal 24 eyeshadows and a stash of other Tarte makeup and goodies. I was up bright and early Saturday to dash over to Sephora to grab one. I’ll share a review and swatches on the palette sometime this week.

Do you grab the Tarte Pretty Paintbox Collector’s Makeup Case?

There are actually some really pretty metallic eyeshadows in this palette which were what sold me on it. Don’t worry it isn’t all metallics! There are some silky mattes here as well.

You get:

  • Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow (0.031 oz) in Glitter Glue, Nude, Bronze Casting, Silhoutte, Waterlines, van Gogh with it, Metal Work, Charcoal Sketch, Pearl Earring, Frameworthy, First Impression, Starry Night, Fresco, Hearts & Crafts, Selfie Portrait, One Too Manet, Porcelain Dali, Monochrome, hot MoMa, Stained Glass, Pastel, I Lourve It, Get Surreal, Still Life
  • Tartiest Lash Paint Mascara in Black (0.10 oz)
  • Amazonian Clay Blush in Moment (coral) (0.158 oz)
  • Amazonian Clay Highlighter in Authentic (champagne) (0.158 oz)
  • 2 x Amazonian Clay Bronzer in Unique (shimmer) and Provacative (matte contour) (0.158 oz)
  • Rainforest of the Sea So Fine Micro Liner in Black (0.10 oz)
  • Tarteist Glossy Lip Oaint in Ovbi (warm nude) (0.01 oz)

I’m eager to share my thoughts on the palette so stay tuned for that!

Did you grab it?

Or are you waiting on what else Tarte Holiday 2016 will bring?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I am completely and 100% done with Tarte. They’ve been added to my ever-growing list of brands with which I am over. Easy pass for me.

I only own one Tarte item – the Tartlette in Bloom Eyeshadow Palette, which I love. I was thinking about trying more, esp. their blush. I was wondering why you’re done with Tarte? I do know most cosmetic brands have their holiday and limited edition products are made in China or Korea with a different formula, so I tend to avoid those.

Eagerly awaiting your review since I still have to wait to purchase it. I followed your link to Sephora and it said “You must be VIB Rouge to qualify for this product” and instructed me to log in. Hopefully by the time its available to everyone your review will be done and I can make an informed decision to purchase or wait for other holiday releases.

No kidding! It was showing as everyone just now! Sorry to get you excited for no reason! It should be available soon, next two weeks, for everyone else!

I am waiting for the Tarte color wheel blush palette with 10 blushes. It is $44 but I think each blush is smaller than full size of .20 ounces for the price.

This collection needs some spice same old same old ! Will be getting the eyeliner set I think its a cool idea. Im also waiting for any news of a qvc set this year???? Maybe it will be more exciting also looking forward for Lorac Holiday Releases. Im hearing a strong rumor of Lorac mega pro 3 any news on that Muse? Thanks

I didn’t get last year’s BE QVC holiday set. It had too many items in it I’d never use — they were too un-BE-like for my taste. The release of the Chandlelight Glow set (one installment of which is being pushed in the shows today) the previous year got my hopes up — loose blush and two shadows made me think they were going back to their roots in loose minerals (lord knows, they’ve received enough complaints about mixed kits — how hard is it do to all loose or all Ready in a kit?). But no. The days of the Q’s BE holidays kits being an autobuy for me are sadly in the past — though maybe not-so sadly for my credit card.

I bought this set at sephora yesterday and I am in love with it! I could care less for the lash paint but the rest is amazing. For only being 59 dollars I feel very content with this purchase. I recommend it to anyone.

  • Amber

I am also waiting to get mine. Hopefully BE’s sephora offering is up then too so I only have to make 1 order. I got the big blush book 2 and the color wheel, which is now showing as sold out.

  • Kathy Agel

Wow — $59 is ridiculously cheap! I’m tempted. I only have one Tarte eye palette, but I’ve used it several times and like it a lot. This is an incredible value.

  • Amber

Got mine. Saw they have the blush palette on there too as well as the lip set that I got too!

  • Terri Wells

I dunno. Ive gotten the Tarte big holiday set for the past 2 years and returned both of them. The quality was not the same. I hope this one is different because it looks beautiful

YOUTUBER Tarababyz just did a review on some of the new Tarte Holiday items. She likes this palette but wishes the traysame were removable. I feel the same way – I just never seem to bother with bulky boxed palettes, so for that reason alone, I’m passing. It’s kind of like when people weren’t buying cars because of the placement of the cup holders, lol.
