Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick ($32) is the first lipstick I’ve actually finished in a long time! Hot Lips is Charlotte’s new soft, velvety matte lipstick formula that launched earlier this fall in 12 gorgeous shades.
As you know I’m not a huge matte lipstick lover and I typically prefer gloss over lipstick. But I’m pretty proud to say that I have a little nibble of my Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick in Electric Poppy as I’ve used it all up. I deserve some major reward for almost finishing a lipstick.
Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick are available in the original K.I.S.S.I.N.G. Lipstick formula as well as a Matte Revolution formula. I tried the Matte Revolution formula which embraces the current cashmere-like lipstick trend that’s rocking Korea at the moment. This is a soft, super creamy matte lipstick with a velvety texture that glides on lips like melted butter. The K.I.S.S.I.N.G. one is a lighter consistency with a luminous finish.
I love how soft and creamy this formula is. It’s isn’t hydrating but it isn’t drying either and it applies flawlessly without clinging to drier areas on my lips. The texture hugs the contours of my lip beautifully and the color has opaque coverage on a single swipe with a wear of six hours. Through the wear I never felt like I needed to wipe the formula off because it became unbearably dry to wear or had issues with flaking. It remained smooth and beautiful with signs of fading as I headed into hour six. For sensitive users, these do have a vanilla scent and flavor but it wasn’t too strong and disappeared immediately upon application.
Each lipstick comes housed in a gorgeous rose gold casing that weights in at 0.12 oz for $32 per shade.
If you’re looking for a comfortable, easy to apply and easy to wear matte lipstick that looks flawless on a single pass and remains so through the wear you’ll adore Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick formula.
This is a formula you’ll hit pan on quickly.
