About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. That is too funny! I thought that it looked like a Chinese checkerboard as well! The color were so pretty, as Robin said, I am considering ordering it. 🙂
It will only be my 3rd ever eyeshadow palette purchase if I order it. I have the IT Cosmetics Superhero Pallete and the IT Cosmetics Naturally Pretty Vol. 1 Matte Luxe Transforming Eyeshadow Palette (thank you for recommending the Naturally Pretty Vol. 1 Isabella, I adore it! 😀 ).
I actually have a full size sample of a Laura Geller baked eyeshadow but it is in a weird blue color that reminds me of when I was little the blue eyeshadow Barbie Dolls had on them. So no, I probably would not wear it, but it went on beautifully and I wished I had a different color sample. So maybe this palette would be fun for me! 😀

I’m happy with the two Geller palettes I got this year, so I grabbed this when I saw it in the Insider, before I even saw it presented – I figured that it wouldn’t last very long at that price. It’s making good progress — I should have it on Saturday. The replacement Eye Love You kit from BE.com (eight full-sized loose shadows for $36 — eight for less than the price of three? That’s insane! I got mine for 15% off, and I had a $10 FAB credit, and I used two codes that got me two full-sized loose shadows — all that for $26, and free shipping, too!) should be here Monday — the original (which they told me to keep) had horrendous fill levels — six of the eight shadows were less than half full, and two were less than 2/3 full. There have been a lot of complaints over on Mineral Madness — only one person who ordered received a kit with good fill levels. One woman bought three sets, all of which had low fill levels, and she had to go over the heads of the CSRs she spoke to to get satisfaction.

Then again, three of the four Bare Minerals items I ordered last Thursday have been sitting in North Carolina since Sunday (and I don’t think that area has been affected by the flooding). The fourth arrived on Monday — while it still said it was in process! My husband’s new iPhone 7Plus will be here tomorrow. It’s been driving him nuts that mine arrived a month ago — but I ordered mine in rose gold, and he wanted the new jet black, which is in higher demand. But it’s coming a month earlier than the original delivery date, so that made him a little happier.

This PALETTE (a pallet is a wooden shelf/flat upon which items such as boxes or bottles are stacked) looks so lovely!

    Muse,

Is this a redo of last years 31 days, or are these different colors? Just looks so similar to last years. I guess I need to pull mine out and compare to the picture. Definitely want to order if it’s different. I love LG baked shadows and will definitely buy if it’s different.

According to the details they are new shades! Likely you’ll get a good deal of shades that are similar though!

I have never tried Laura Geller’s baked eye shadows, but this palette looks fantastic and 95% of the shades are those I would use. It seems to have such a good variety of warm and colours.
