Despite what stores are telling you, it’s still very Fall and this Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Bold Lip ($28) is filled with Fall friendly lipsticks to get you in the mood for the season plus it happens to be an excellent value at a mere $38 bucks (there’s a full-size Laura Mercier Velour Lovers Lip Colour in here which retails for $28 bucks). P.S. There’s so a perfect Bite Beauty VIB Rouge Creme Lipstick dupe in here!

Here’s my thoughts!

I’m actually really scared of all the goth-y, vampy shades of berries I see everyone sporting this season. It looks amazing on most people but I fall into the baby face cute group that looks like they are trying to play grownup when wearing shades like this. None the less I totally thought it was a good deal!

There’s such a wide range of formulas, textures, and shades in this set. If you aren’t terribly brave or daring this is a great way to try out a new, bold lip color without committing to a full-size of a single shades. This set is filled with on trend berry shades as well as beautiful, festive reds, purples, and even a rather brilliant hot pink. There’s long-wearing liquid lipsticks to try out here and more traditional satiny lipsticks.

My favorite shade in the collection was the rather stunning Sephora Rouge Cream in Belly-Dancing which reminded me of my beloved Bite Beauty VIB Rouge Creme Lipstick! It was also my favorite formula with a smooth, creamy formula that glided on easily.

The only formula I struggled with was Laura Mercier’s Velour Lovers Lip Colour as it dragged a bit during application and wasn’t as smooth and creamy as I expected to be! All the other formulas applied beautifully and easily with excellent pigmentation. I have reviews of many of these formulas already on my site, check the archives for more detailed reviews.

All in all, the Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Bold Lip is an excellent way to try out some new, bold shades of lip color at a nice price! This set was fun to play with and worth a pick up if you’re a little scared of bolder lip looks as it gives you plenty of options to play with and I guarantee you’re bound to come out of the experience wanting to buy a full-size or two of a shade and formula found in this set.

The Sephora Favorites Give Me Some Bold Lip is available now at Sephora.com.

I recently rediscovered by Bite Beauty VIB Rouge Creme Lipstick! I note you struggled with it, but that Laura Mercier color looks fabulous on you!

    • Isabella Muse

Aw thank! The application was a bit draggy for some reason! maybe it’s my chapped lipsticks but I was hoping for something a little creamier ;-D But honestly, can’t beat the price here! Good value 😀

  • Jodi Apps

I’m so jealous! You look phenomenal in every one of those shades! I look like a withered old hag wearing bold colours!

    • Isabella Muse

oh gosh! Flattered! I feel like I’m playing dress up when I wear shades like this! They just don’t look good on me! But thank you! You made my day! 😀

  • Heidi

The Laura Mercier and the Bite look great on you. Plummy berry shades suit you.

  • Fancie

Vampy shades look really pretty on you! You should try them more often lol. This looks like a really nice set overall though. I love the colors and it seems to be a pretty good deal too. This is definitely on my list!

    • Isabella Muse

aw thanks Fancie! 🙂 It’s def a good deal, kinda like buying the Laura Mercier and getting a bunch of free samples!

  • yelena

thanks for the swatches muse! all the colors look great! call me crazy but my favorite on you is actually the tarte lippie in yass!
may i suggest having the swatches in the same order as the photo above with the product pics? it would be so much easier to match the swatch to the product/packaging.

thanks for all that you do! xoxox

    • Isabella Muse

omg thanks! I always feel wicked silly in purple 😀 I try to but for some reason the end up getting confused, apologies! My pleasure xo!

no worries, just thought I’d mention it to help other readers as well.

purple is a hard color to pull off but you are rocking this shade for sure!
I have had some good luck with a few purples lately just in time for fall. I am one of those that enjoys berries plums, even bright fuschia and lilacs for fall.
one of my fave lipsticks that reminds me of yass is the Sephora liquid lipstick in African violet. lovely color, bright but lovely.

    HI,
I’m new to your blog – but I enjoy your reviews! I really like the KVD one one you!!! I’m not a huge fan of her formula – but the color looks stunning on you! I like to wear the super vampy ones, but as they wear off – I feel silly!!! Also it takes some getting used to. I love that they are “en vogue”…. I have one by Color Pop that’s gorge… but OH so drying. I’m so excited to try Bite’s line of lippies. That one is really beautiful on you also. Have fun!!!
