The Too Faced Funfetti Eyeshadow Palette is a new, limited edition palette that’s available in the Too Faced Funfetti Collection which is an HSN Today’s Special. The set includes 5 full-size Too Faced products including this eyeshadow palette and I thought I’d review each piece individually with final thoughts on the set in another post.

Let’s take a look at the Too Faced Funfetti Eyeshadow Palette below.

Most people expected the Too Faced Funfetti Collection to arrive for Spring 2017 but with many things in the works this Spring from Too Faced like the Kat Von D release as well as the return of the Sweet Peach Eyeshadow Palette, Papa Don’t Peach Blush, and Peach Glow Palette we already have plenty to keep us busy. This Funfetti Collection doesn’t come as too much of a surprise if you follow Jerrod Blandino on Instagram because he’s been dropping at it for a while now.

You can’t purchase the Too Faced Funfetti Eyeshadow Palette by itself sadly. It’s available in a 5 piece set that’s $55 and also includes Funfetti Love Flush Blush, Funfetti Lipgloss, Better Than Sex Mascara, and Heart Flatbuki Brush. This price is available today only on HSN.com. If the set doesn’t sell out, the price will go up tomorrow.

The Too Faced Funfetti Eyeshadow Palette comes in a cute confetti decorated, pink, thin cardboard compact that features a heart shaped mirror inside and 12 eyeshadows. The palette is made in China.

The palette is a little, mmmm, uneventful. The shades seem dull to me and they are a bit mismatched so, I felt a little challenging pairing up colors. For my look below, I went rather boring with the standard gold and brown eye look you can get from most Too Faced Eyeshadow Palettes using the shades Pop, Fizz, Clink!, After Party, Party Crashed, and Girl Gang.

There’s not a lot of rhythm or reason with these shades and isn’t as cohesive as one would hope for. When using shades together they ended up blending together into one shade. It was difficult to get contrast from them because they were so similar.

I will say the colors are actually not exact dupes of Too Faced past palettes. Although similar they aren’t spot on dupes and if anything at all this is actually the softest Too Faced Palette I’ve seen from the brand as many of the shades are softer and duller with sheerer color pay off. They also have a softer consistency than anything I’ve tried from Too Faced in the past. They have a powdery, velvety consistency that’s very, very different from Too Faced normal formula. They also have a lot less shimmer. Too Faced’s eyeshadows tend to go very metallic on me and have a heavier formula loaded with shimmer. There are shimmers here but the effect is softer and lighter and almost fluffier in texture. It’s an interesting formula that applied and blended easily on my drier eyes but did fade quickly so, primer is key for all day wear. I could see myself loving this palette if the colors were a bit more richer. They just seem rather gloomy and dull like a rainy day!

This isn’t to say there aren’t some very nice shades in this palette. The mattes stand out as being soft and easy to apply. Also Girl Gang, Party Crasher, After party, and Funfetti all had excellent pigment. Funny as every single shade here had an excellent soft and easy to blend consistency. No dryness here, no chalkiness, no stiffness, nor issues with patchy application. It’s just the colors were a little uneventful.

There’s no doubt the Too Faced Funfetti Collection is an excellent deal. It’ll make a new makeup lover a very nice gift! But the palette might disappoint hardcore fans of the Too Faced eyeshadow formula. I can see myself using some of thee softer mattes as transitional shades and even some of the neutrals will work great for quickie eyeshadow looks! I wouldn’t completely write it off but I always like to let you know what you’re exactly getting into before you hit that submit button to buy!

The Too Faced Funfetti Eyeshadow Palette is available in the Too Faced Funfetti Collection Set today on HSN.com.

I agree with you about the colors. Thanks for doing this review with swatches. I’m actually thinking of cancelling my order. The colors do not wow me much. 🙁

    • Isabella Muse

Don’t cancel just yet! Wait for my blush review and lipgloss as those two are good 🙂 But yeah, eyeshadow palette, mmm I was meh on!

      • Melissa

Just saw your blush review. It does look pretty. I was having high hopes for this set more so the eyeshadows. Undecided what to do

        • Isabella Muse

I liked the blush and I’m enjoying the gloss too! Eyeshadow palette I’m a bit meh on! BUT I did like the matte shades in it, I can see myself using some of them quite a bit.

        • Zovesta

Buy the set and sell the eyeshadow palette alone for $5000 on eBay since it’s limited edition and exclusive? LOL.

  • Cindy

I bought this last night, I just couldn’t resist the deal. If you use Visa Checkout you get another $20 off – all of that for $35? Yes please!!

While I was looking forward to this kit, I was underwhelmed myself last night when I saw the presentation video on the website. I’m a night owl, too! I actually watched it without sound so as not to disturb anyone! All the models just looked blah too me. It just seemed like such a fun collection to be so boring on. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be a no make up or naked look maybe?! There aren’t any pops of color!

    • Isabella Muse

noooooooo very soft look here no pops of color at all! It’s a VERY muted palette for Too Faced. I was surprised! I did love the blush though, seemed a big improvement to me from the original line!

  • Andi

One woman’s dull is another woman’s nice and basic 🙂
I like the colors and can see mixing and matching them without an issue. I think since they did this palette specifically for HSN they were trying to keep with basic/more neutral shades. These are good shades for things like business meetings, church, generic daily activities, but there are a couple glittery ones which could be worn for the occasional night out.

    • Isabella Muse

Very true! I wish it had a bit more pop in honesty but yes it def has shades that are work friendly!

  • diane

thank you as always for your honest review. i’ve been going back and forth on whether to get this kit or not and i think i will pass on it. i know i have similar colors and i just don’t like the gloss shade.

    • Isabella Muse

Aw my pleasure 🙂 I liked he gloss in all honesty and the blush! I’m meh on the mascara and eyeshadow palette!

    • Isabella Muse

I don’t blame you! I thought the blush/gloss was the highlight of the set!

  • Laurie

I bought this only for the rye palette because I thought, hooray, something for us porcelain people with cool undertones. I have not been able to buy any of the chocolate palettes (my rule is at least half the colors must be useable). Now I feel like my obsessively waiting for it at HSN was kind of a waste. Given the difference in our coloring, though, and that I like more control over pigmentation, maybe it’ll be okay.

    • Isabella Muse

It might just work for you Laurie! It was a bit sheer for me and dull/muted I wanted a little more pop! If you hate it, HSN has an excellent return policy! Let me know when it arrives what you think!
