NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer Possibly Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer-Like?

I have so many hopes and dreams for the new NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer! Why? Because I’m wishing and hoping and praying to the makeup gods that it’ll be Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer-like in formula!

I can’t even begin to express how much I miss Maybelline Dream Mousse Concealer! So, when I heard that NARS was doing a new Soft Matte Complete Concealer I got terribly excited about that maybe, just maybe, it would offer the same brilliant coverage and fluffy texture as Maybelline’s long gone formula.

Available January 1st at narscosmetics.com and hopefully shortly after at Sephora.com the new NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer is promises a high coverage finish with an oil-free cream formula that blurs and conceals imperfections. The optimal diffusion powder formula helps to maxmize light difussion and brighten up skin whole blurring imperfections and the lightest touch offers full-coverage and easy blending without settling into pores or finer lines while collagen-boosting peptides smooth and reduce wrinkles and pores with Hyaluronic acid to keep skin hydrated and soft!

  • Chantily True ivory shade for light complexion
  • Vanilla Tiny cast of pink for the light complexion
  • Creme Brulee Fair, with a light pink undertone
  • Cannelle Light with a peachy undertone

    I miss the dream mousse concealer so much! I don’t have circles or puffiness or bags, I just have redness on my upper eyelids and under my eyes. And the skin under my eyes is so thin and dry, I have the hardest time with concealers. After spending a bazillion dollars on every high end concealer in the world, I discovered the dream mousse. And in the immortal words of our beloved Muse, it worked a treat! Why do companies do this? Why?? They make something great and then just discontinue it for no damn good reason. Here’s hoping the NARS might be a good replacement.

      Wasn’t it great? I cry myself to sleep every night thinking about it! Yet they still keep the dream mousse foundation! WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY! 🙁 It was so amazing! 🙁 I hope NARS formula is like it!

    Oh I hope so! I hope so much! That would be awesome because that was the only concealer I truly thought I would stay with and not search for any others…how wrong I was. Darn you Maybelline! I feel like they taunted me XD I hate it when products get discontinued…I understand from a marketing perspective but a lot of people loved that product so idk why then. Looks like the Nars one will have a lot more color choices though. 🙂

    Oh Muse, I am Sooooo looking forward to this!! I never used Maybelline, except for the Age Rewind, which I was disappointed with. I had tried the neutralizing & the illuminating shades.
    Currently, I’m using Pixie peach corrector, then after applying the rest of my makeup, patting Nars concealer on top. This sounds like it could be a hybrid of the two if I try a peach shade. It’s difficult dealing with very dark circles as well as visible blue veins running under the eyes!
    Can’t wait to see if this is a winner & I’m sure I’ll be depending on your review as it will be coming out post holiday brokenness time!!

      I didn’t like age rewind either, you’re not alone! I like Pixie though 😀 I HOPE this is as good as maybelline’s formula. I have dry eyes and I’m not a fan of matte anything but this sounds good! We shall see 😀

    Maybelline Dream Mousse concealer was my holy grail concealer. I cried when my make up bag was stolen because it was the last one I had. I really hope Nars is close to the Maybelline formula!
