Tarte Bestie Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint is a early Spring 2017 release that randomly popped up on Sephora today. Too Faced has their Spring 2017 Collection arriving in December but by far Tarte is the earliest to launch their season’s collection with this little hint and preview of things to come.
Bestie comes housed in special edition and limited edition collector’s preview packaging and is a deep, natural nude shade. Looks like a nice MLBB (my lips but better). This new long wearing liquid lipstick formula is an improvement on the original Tarte Tarteist Lip Paint as it sets to opaque matte finish in seconds for strong, all day wear. The original formula isn’t long wearing and wipes away easily so, the formula is completely revamped.
Now Bestie is actually already available in the permanent Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint Collection that launched earlier this October. I’m guessing this is some hint at Tarte’s Spring Collection.
The special edition packaging may make it worth picking up if you haven’t yet tried the new formula but aside from that this shade is readily available in the permanent collection of shades sans the collector’s packaging.
I just hope they have more surprises up their sleeves for Spring BUT I suspect it’ll be a heavy promotion of their new Tarteist Pro Amazonian Clay Palette, Tarteist Pro Glow Highlight & Contour Palette, and these new Tarteist Quick Dry Matte Lip Paint until Summer 2017 arrives.
But knowing Tarte, I imagine they’ll something else to look forward to as we near Boxing Day.
