Too Faced Funfetti Makeup Collection Review, Swatches, and Final Thoughts
The Too Faced Funfetti It’s Fun To Be a Girl Makeup Collection launched at HSN.com earlier this morning is available for $55 with Free Shipping. This set includes 5 Too Faced products housed in a pink ready to gift box. I’ve been reviewing each of the pieces in the collection individually so I can give you deeper thoughts on each product today!
This is my final review post which includes all the swatches and a few final thoughts on the set!
Ok, so, the Too Faced Funfetti Collection includes a Funfetti Eyeshadow Palette that contains 12 shades of 0.03 oz eyeshadow. I did a review earlier on this and my final thoughts remain the same. The shadows are soft and powdery with a thinner, velvety consistency that blended easily but faded fast without eyeshadow primer. I felt the shades round up didn’t have the pop or pigment of Too Faced’s regular line of palettes and this resulted in muddier blending as the shades offered no real contrast. I also thought the eyeshadows could have used something more as they were a bit muted, duller, and uneventful. If you like very natural looks you might just love this one but those who want pigment and richness you won’t find it in this palette.
The two stand out products for me where the Funfetti Love Flush Blush as well as the Funfetti Lipgloss. A few months ago Jerrod posted a shot of several shades of Funfetti Blush on his Instagram. I was actually under the impression he was going a whole line of blushes but if you look closely at the shot it appears he was approving the final shade that would be included with this set. I suspect there won’t be more Funfetti Blushes outside this launch but don’t quote me. I expressed in my review on the blush earlier today that the formula was a lot better than the original Love Flush Blush as it had the pretty sheen I wanted from the original line. The color is lighter orange but it applies as a soft peachy sheen on my cheeks. I’m wondering if Funfetti Lipgloss might someday get a full color launch and I was thinking maybe Summer 2017 that might just do that but considering my conclusions on the blush that might just not be the case. I really enjoyed the gloss formula! It’s a nice wearable nude with a primer of sorts built into the formula that gives a smooth, even finish on lips without being tacky or sticky. It’s actually deceiving though as I thought it was full-size but it actually holds only 0.10 oz of product.
And finally this set includes a full-size Better Than Sex Mascara as well as a Heart Flatbuki Brush. I’m not a fan of Better Than Sex Mascara personally but thought it was generous to include a full-size with this set. The brush is very cute with shed-free bristles that are soft and very full! I was a bit sad it couldn’t be retracted as it is going to be a little hard storing it without splitting the bristles.
The Too Faced Funfetti Collection is an excellent value no doubt! For $55 bucks plus free shipping it’ll make a lovely gift for a younger girl or boy (despite the name!!!!) just starting out in makeup. It does have two stand out products in it which were the blush and the lipgloss but I do think the eyeshadow palette was uneventful shade wise but the formula wasn’t bad at all so long as you don’t mind the lack of contrasting shades! Below I’m wearing everything included in this set.
It’s debating whether you need this one though. If you like softer, sheer shades of eyeshadow I say go for it. But if you’re expecting the wow and pop you get from some of Too Faced’s more popular eyeshadows, that’s simply not what you get in this set!
