Best Blush in 2016

best-blush

I thought I’d do a round of some of the best blush formulas form 2016. For me, the year of blush was was Spring 2014 which was when Clinique launched their delightful Cheek Pop Blush! If you haven’t tried those, please do, you won’t regret the purchase.

But I digress, blush in 2016 wasn’t exactly slacking either. There were a great deal of fantastic formulas that launched which impressed me from a variety of great brands like Becca, Essence, and It Cosmetics.

Here are a few of my favorite blushes from 2016.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush $34
All I want for the Spring 2017 is new shades of Becca’s delightful Shimmering Skin Perfector Luminous Blush which gives my cheeks a burst of luminous color! Why some people would even say it glows! Love this! Easy to blend, pigmented, smooth, and perfectly luminous! A must for blush lovers.

Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess Summer Glow Multi-Palette $50
Let’s hope Estee Lauder creates another stunning blush and highlighter palette like the one from last year’s Bronze Goddess Collection! Ok, so, I’m cheating! This isn’t exactly just about blush but the shade of blush in this trio is stunning! It’s so natural, pretty, and perfect I can’t resist placing it on my Best Blush for 2016 list. Forgive me?

NARS Special Edition Orgasm Blush $39
Gone but not forgotten but forever available in regular size, NARS Special Edition Orgasm Blush was a stunningly larger Summer 2016 super size version of NARS beloved, cult classic Orgasm Blush shade. If you love the shade, you likely hauled this larger size when it released earlier this year. But no worries, Orgasm is still very much apart of NARS’ permanent collection and it still remains the most perfect golden pink that ever graced the makeup world.

Rodial Blusher $35
Rodial Blush took my blush world by storm earlier this year when I tried it for the first time. This delightful soft, silky formula blends easily and leaves behind smooth, even color! A must for blush lovers!

MAC Sweet Vision Magic Dust Powder
Sweet Vision Magic Dust Powder was SO good I purchased two back ups! This pretty golden pinky peach gave my cheeks a pop of luminous color that dare I say beat out my beloved NARS Orgasm! If you can find it at your local counter it should be reduced 40%! Hurry, head to or call your local counter before it disappears forever.

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Pores Blush $29
The only thing I can say bad about Bye Bye Pores Blush is it should come in more shades. This delightfully soft, silky formula gives skin a beautiful wash of color that never clings to drier areas and looks perfectly airbrushed on cheeks!

Fully concur with Clinique Cheek Pop … Pansy is my new go-to, replacing a long-discontinued Bare Minerals shade (Heaven). It’s not a dupe, but next to a MAC shade, it’s the best I’ve found.

Nars’ Impudique from the Sarah Moon collection has become my HG blush this year. I doubt I’ll ever hit pan on it, but I still wish I’d snagged a backup.

I think these three are my current favorites:
    Benefit in Dandelion
    NYX Ombré in Mauve
    Tarte in Celebration

  • Jean

*GASP!* No tarte? I thought they had some of the best blushes in the business. Not saying that just cuz I’m a fan.

Mostly I limited it too 2016 releases 🙂 Since Tarte’s Amazonian Blushes aren’t new I kept them off the list but they are def AWESOME ;-D

Being a little slow to the blush game I’ve just discovered Benefit Dandelion blush and LIVE for it. Perfect.

The Clinique blushes are fantastic. My new love is the Marc Jacobs blush though. They lived up to the hype.

NYX Illuminators look strangely like the Becca product you listed…for $9! I think I’m using Narcissistic.

  • Agona

Thanks for your best of 2016 lists!! Can you do eyeliner and mascara too, pretty please?!
