Delectable The Everything Balm is a new multi-tasking moisturizing beauty balm that can be used in any number of ways or according to Cake Beauty it can be used in 21+ different ways. I happen to be a live and die fan of Smith’s Rosebud Salve and I pretty much use that for just about everything and anything. But I’m not averse to cheating on my favorite products and I decided to do just that with the Everything Balm from Delectable by Cake Beauty.

I love, love, love products that multitask and this little tube of balm does everything and does it well.

You need it.

Delectable The Everything Balm contains a host of awesome oils that are highly beneficial to your skin like castor oil, coconut oil, sunflower seed oil, etc…it also contains shea butter and it’s formulated without mineral oil or petrolatum. This little guy comes housed in a 0.7 oz tube with an attached pump that’s $16. A little pricey but well worth it in my opinion! Just a note I struggled with the pump at first as it refused to pump the product out but I twisted it off, squeezed the bottle a little to evenly distribute the balm inside, replaced the pump, and it worked.

So, what is it, what’s it do, why do we you need it?

It’s basically exactly what they promise it is! A multitasking beauty balm that contains castor oil which is excellent for hair and skin use as it’s super charged with excellent hydrating benefits that not only add moisture to skin but also help t retain it. The formula is much like Vaseline as it is very thick emollient but absorbs a lot more easier than Vaseline does.

There are so many uses for this it’s obscene. You can use it on rough elbows and knees, chapped or dry lips, you can mix it with pigment to create a glossy looking blush or lip color, you can use it on cuticles or under eyes to add moisture, you can smooth frizzes with it, etc…etc…..the uses are endless! I even apply a little bit on the back of my hand, smooth it out, and kiss the back of my hand prior to applying matte lipstick. This gives my lips and even layer of moisture and allows my lipstick to apply smoothly without dragging! It really is a wonder product. I apply it under my eyes as well before bed time and it adds a super charge of moisture to my dry eyes. Castor oil is an excellent anti-aging ingredient and this delivers it in an easy to use balm that’s loaded with other fantastic oils and butter. Hell, when I’m feeling dry I even apply it all over my face (beware though if you’re prone to clogged pores)! I especially like applying it on the sides of my nose when I have a cold as there’s where my skin becomes flaky or dry due to blowing my nose.

Dare I say it might even take the place of my beloved Rosebud Salve!

This is a must have for anyone that likes multitasking, hydrating products!

Delectable The Everything Balm has a rightful place in my staple skincare range. This is a product I’d happily buy again and again and again.

Get it, you won’t regret it.

When I saw you liked it at night under the eye I had to order from Ulta. Seems like it will be an awesome travel product too.

Better than Rosebud Salve, you say? I have to check this one out.

    Does it have a scent?

Ugh! This sounds exactly what I need. But unfortunately I’m almost guaranteed to break out from something like this. So, my question for you, my dear, is; Do you have any recommendations for something exactly like this, or something similar that doesn’t leave a trail of evidence on my face?? Halp?!

btw, Excellent blog. I spend entirely too much time browsing that my google recommend sites auto enters your blog address when I do a search for review and swatches. LOL!

Sorry Danielle, not really, most formulas like this will def leave a bit of a film behind! Sorry! 🙁 If you want something lighter maybe try an essence that’s lighter and still hydrating 🙂 Aw thank you! So glad to hear it xoxoxoxoxoxo 😀
