Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette Sneak Peek

Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette ($62) is a new, limited edition Spring 2017 blush palette that contains three shades of Hourglass Cosmetics Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder. I picked this up because of the “strobe” in the title. You see, I have all the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush shades but I never understood the raving and hype surround them as they really didn’t produce the luminous glow I was hoping for. When I purchased them I wanted something along the lines of the pretty glow I get from NARS Orgasm or MAC Sweet Vision Magic Dust Powder but the finish was a lot flatter than I expected and I didn’t get that luminous glow that was promised.

Anyway, this intrigued me because I wasn’t it’s a combination of the newer Ambient Strobe Lighting Powder that contains blush pigments. I was hoping this meant I’d finally get that glowing finish I was looking for.

The palette contains Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush in Incandescent Electra, Brilliant Nude, and Euphoric Fusion. I already own the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Blush Palette which contains Incandescent Electra and to look at the one in the new Strobe Lighting Blush Palette I wouldn’t say I noticed any major differences between the two. I haven’t swatched or used it yet so, let’s hope there’s a difference. One of the things I did notice is these shades contain tiny specks of gold shimmer which is quite visibly noticeable. This gives me hope I’ll get that glow I’m seeking!

I do wonder if the Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush Palette is a preview of a possible launch of an entire line of Hourglass Ambient Strobe Lighting Blush for Spring 2017. I guess we’ll have to wait and see how that pans us.
