Lanolips Lano Tinted Balm ($13.50) launched in two new shades recently and I quickly snatched them up. I’m a Lanolips fan girl and I was very excited about a tinted version of these highly moisturizing lip product.

Here’s a look at one of the two new shades.

You can truly appreciate Lanolips if you don’t have dry lips! This is an ultra thick, emollient, and highly moisturizing formula that does not contain mineral oil or petrolatum. Lanolin is one of the key ingredients in this formula which is also found in many skincare products to treat dry skin. This also contains beeswax, shea butter, and a variety of oils like grape seed to keep lips super moist and hydrated!

It’s thick and quite emollient which gives it a slight tackiness on lips. If you hate thick lip products I’d avoid it completely. But if you have severely dry lips, believe me, this is a life saver! Although housed in a squeeze tube with a slanted applicator it is meant to be applied using your fingers for the best possible finish. Squeeze a small amount onto a lip brush or the tip of your finger and apply directly to your lips. I picked up the shade called Perfect Nude and it’s exactly that. It’s a gorgeous dusky nude that looks very natural on my lips with a nice hint of shine finish. The color isn’t a slacker in the pigment department as it delivers a nice pop of color with a strong long wear of four hours. During that wear it acts to sooth, hydrate, and soften my lips while giving them a pretty pop of nude.

Lanolips is already a fantastic and wonderful product but the fact it’s now available in two tinted versions makes this girl very happy!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Nice! Does it smell like lanolin? That smell isn’t my favorite. I can hope it’s unscented…. ???

It tastes a little faintly like sweet vanilla but nothing else strongly scented here!

Oooooh so glad to finally have these in the US! I’ve been loving their tinted balm formula for a few years (I don’t ever want to go without Apples or Sunshine EVER)
