Pantone Color of the Year 2017 was announced yesterday and it’s Greenery (Pantone 154-0343)! Greenery is a yellow green shade that might remind you of MAC Chartreuse. With Spring on the way this is a fresh, grassy green that will look fabulous on eyes. I’m excited to see if there will be a Sephora Pantone Universe Spring 2017 Collection featuring this shade. We’ve already had Sephora + Pantone Universe Color of the Year in Emerald back in 2013 but this shade is considerably lighter and fresher.

It’s a shade that will contrast beautifully with yellows or even browns!

What do you think of the Pantone Color of the Year 2017?

How would you wear it?

Do share!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Ooooo! I’m going to want a liner or eyeshadow in this color to line my green eyes with!

Probably one of the world’s worst colors on me, so I shall pass. But if it’s “your” color, then rock it. On the bright side, it’s giving me flashbacks to 1972. 😉

Not sure about this color as an eyeshadow, but will definitely pick up the Butter London nail polish.

It isn’t easy being green! *chuckle* Actually, this green falls right into the list of my most loved greens! Not too bright, dark, neon or offensive. I hope to paint my bathroom a shade close to this (prolly a tad bit lighter) come spring! 😉

Greenery reminds me of spring and it feels fresh. I’d like this for home interiors as an accent color, like for throw pillows, upholstery on a chair or bench, or for a splash of color in a kitchen or bathroom. I’d love a wallet in that color.

I won’t be wearing/decorating/whatever with it – WAY too yellow for me. Colors like that make me look like I have the flu. But for those with different coloring, have fun!

Baby poop green? hah sorry, it isn’t really that bad. Maybe it’s partly the screen on my tablet dulling it a bit but it looks borderline ugly. It is *just* bright and chartreuse enough to keep fresh and not awful though, in my eyes!
I’d wear a liner this color but that would prob be the only makeup product I’d want in this shade.

So excited! This is one of my most favorite colors to wear and it is also the color of my warm weather bedding…with accents of yellow and brown, just like you said Muse! It’s also close to my eye color, though lighter obviously. It’s the one thing so far that I’m not hating about 2017

This is the colour of my Kitchenmaid mixer. That’s gonna be about it for me! I don’t think I could even pull off nail polish in this colour.

I absolutely love this colour, it’s so hard finding certain colours (like green) that are warmer and more yellow based than cool. It’s one of the reasons I love OPI’s Greenwich Village, amazing apple coloured nailpolish. I hope Sephora has a collection for this 😀
