The limited edition, Spring 2017 Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette Vol. II is now available at tartecosmetics.com. This $36 eyeshadow palette is a follow up to last year’s popular Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette and it contains 8 brand new shades.

Jump on this one if you want as from my understanding it’s on Tarte’s site for one day only!

The Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette Vol. II contains the following cool-toned shades of creamy gel powder eyeshadow:

  • Pearl (white shimmer)
  • Conch (off white)
  • Sunset (yellow gold)
  • Marina (caramel)
  • Seaside (chestnut)
  • Siren (dark brown)
  • Breezy (shimmering slate)
  • Riptide (steel blue)

The shadow formula is infused with Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea complex which is a blend of marine flower extracts and algae that help to reduce finer lines and smooth wrinkles while softening skin. If the formula and texture is anything to by from last year’s palette, these will be nothing like you’ve experience from Tarte in the past. Tarte’s shadows are typically powdery and silky where as the Rainforest of the Sea Palette has a more creamy, gel consistency that’s considerably more denser compared to the regular line up.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette Vol. II will be available at Sephora.com after Christmas from my understanding but you can grab it up early at tartecosmetics.com today with free shipping!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. These shades are pretty but look similar to the 1st volume except for blue shade. I noticed on Tarte website there is also a new highlight palette and new eyeshadows and blush palettes. A lot of stuff. I want to get the new TF sweet peach items. I will be broke.

Ok, Muse you twisted my arm. AGAIN! First I couldn’t decide on which palette to buy myself for Christmas & now I’ve been turned into a credit card wielding monster!! I got the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette with the blush & lipstick from HSN, the UD Smoky palette, & now this!! I was trying to convince myself I didn’t NEED it but then I read your description of last year’s palette again…

    • Isabella Muse

haha Lisa! You can always just blame it on Christmas 😀 Enjoy! Hope you love it!

  • Agona

I want this. The first one is the only tarte palette I’ve ever really loved.

  • Ana

These shades look soo beautiful! Just fell in love. I mostly use browns and neutrals and this palette would fit perfectly in my collection! 🙂

    Ana,

It does look similar to the first one… but this is the only Tarte eyeshadow formula that I like. I can’t wait to see swatches!

Disappointed that vol. II, unlike vol. I is not vegan. There’s really no reason for this. Tarte should stop hiding behind the lie that it’s products are “cruelty free” (i.e. were not tested on animals) when most nonetheless contain animal derived ingredients. (How, exactly, is this not cruel? And gross.)

Please do swatches… I am on the fence on buying this. Please do a full review and swatches. You are my holy grail review and recommendation for makeup. I feel uncomfortable buying something when its not approved by you…

    • Isabella Muse

thanks Manika! I’m flattered xoxo! I’ll have a review live shortly!

    • Lisa O’Neill

I agree with you! I’m holding off on buying the Lorac conceal & hight palette until it’s Muse approved! You can’t rely on user reviews when some love it & some really hate it!! I need the real scoop!

LOL omg thanks Lisa 🙂 xoxoxoxoxo! Flattered!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ended up ordering this palette since there is 30% sale. I think it is the same formula as the quad fromQvc today special with the palette lid with the slate rock design which is also made in Italy. Involve this one and use it often.
