As you know Clinique and Crayola teamed up to create a selection of Clinique Crayola Chubby Stick Intense Lip Pencils (as well as sheer ones in the original formula) for the Spring 2017 season. I think part of my love of makeup stems from the fact I had a crazy addiction to art and school supplies as a child. From 5 years old to around 10 or so if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I’d have told you an artist. Fast forward to Bachelor’s in computer engineering and a career in insurance and let’s just say art never quite worked itself into my life the way I had planned.

But I’m still addicted to crayons, colored pencils, brightly colored stationary, pens, pencils, and of course, makeup. Clinique took the initiative to combine two of my favorite worlds this year with their collaboration with Crayola. I’m sure if you look back on your childhood you might just blame that 64 box of Crayola Crayons for the addiction you have today to colored eyeshadows, lipsticks, and blushes. Because it all started somewhere right? I’m sure a therapist would have a field day picking it apart for us.

Needless to say I thought the idea of a Clinique Crayola collaboration was just too darling. Let’s face it, Clinique knows how to bring the cute lately and this collection sure is adorable.

Here’s a look!

Whether you’re going sheer or you’re looking for intense Clinique has you covered with this new range of Crayola Chubby Sticks. These come as individual shade purchases of either the original sheerer Chubby Stick formula or the intense one for more pop! If you’re feeling extra artsy you can snag an adorable eight pack that looks like a pack of crayons for $49.50! Or four pack for $25.

Each Chubby Stick has been repackaged to look like a Crayola Crayon. Truly it doesn’t get any cuter than this right? Keep in mind many of the shades have new names but are re-promoted from original colors so, be careful when selecting a shade as you might just already own it. But no worries, there are a few limited edition shades as well! So, if you’re craving something new, there are new shades to choose. A very kind reader listed new shades versus old in the comments of my original post that can be viewed here.

Checked out the shade Red Voilet (aka Grandest Grape in the original Intense line) in the Clinique Crayola Chubby Stick Intense and it packed a pop! It’s been 5 years since Clinique introduced these chubby little pencils to the lip color world and many, many different brands have replicated them but I always come back to Clinique’s fab little formula. The Intense formula is slicker than the original balm-y texture and provides opaque, bold color on lips. This color is most definitely pigmented with an easy, smooth glide on lips that leave lips lightly hydrated and full of gorgeous color. They have no fragrance of flavor and leave lovely stain behind well after the wear away at around four hours.

I really feel like these are such a great way to re-promote the Chubby Stick Collection. If you haven’t tried them it’s totally a great time to do especially with this fun, limited edition packaging. I’m having a hard time not re-indulging in all of them!

The Clinique Crayola Collection is available now at clinique.com, nordstrom.com, and ulta.com as well as on counters.

Did you indulge?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. I wish they had made new shades for all of the names but I think I am going to pick up all of the new ones. They are too cute to pass up and I also love the formula.

agreed but I’m like you, too cute to pass up! Most of the ones I have are stubs as I use them so often, good excuse to buy new ones right?! 😀

I’m the same way: I loved to draw and paint and I adored the jumbo Crayola box I got every school year. All of the fab eyeshadow palettes that have been coming out recently remind me of the watercolor palettes of my childhood. I’m trying to resist these Chubbies since I have several already…

I just love the Chubby stick eye shadow formula and these for lips look too good to pass up.
Crayola wasn’t around when I was growing up, but the most coveted set of pencils in my childhood were the Derwents…. really expensive, beautiful shades and oh so good.

Oh the nostalgia! I ordered mango tango as my new everyday purse lip balm once I saw the ad on the Clinique website. Love the review!
