Cetaphil Liquid Makeup Remover Has Arrived Throw Your Hands In the Air and Run Wild

Cetaphil Liquid Makeup Remover ($10.99) has arrived and I’m quite excited. Well, not really, ouch on that $11 buck price tag (Beauty 360 Gentle Eye Makeup is 11 oz and 7 bucks!).

But yay, on something new to try for sensitive users. Last year, I got this bad case of flaky eye lid syndrome. I have no idea what was going on. My dermatologist just said it was dryness but it was damn difficult to not cause further dryness while also getting rid of it. It was rather awful because everything I used was causing it to flake up even further. Not to mention it made my eye makeup look mighty bad. I started using products like Farmacy Clear Bloom Makeup Glideaway Cleansing Oil and Pixi Nourishing Cleansing Balm which were really helpful not drying me out further. But I tend to like to remove my eye makeup with an eye makeup remover first before using any other facial cleansers. Unfortunately, most of my eye makeup removers seemed to add to the problem.

Thankfully, the issue cleared up but I sure wish I had Cetaphil Liquid Makeup Remover at the time as maybe it would have been gentle enough to remove my eye makeup and not dry my eyes out.

Cetaphil Liquid Makeup Remover isn’t all about eyes though. This appears to be a micellar water of sorts with a bi-phase formula much like Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water All-in-1 Waterproof Makeup Remover & Cleanser. This one dissolves makeup easily and is apparently an oil-free formula that’s suitable for sensitive skin.

I actually love Garnier’s waterproof formula to remove eye makeup but I hated it on my face and I think I might feel the same about the Cetaphil version!

We shall see.

I’m curious about this one.

I can tolerate Cetaphil better than Cerave so I’d like to try this one. I’m going to check the end caps at Bed Bath and Beyond they cleared a ton of spaces so they must be planning some new spring displays.

I have the flakies on my cheeks right now so this might be a good remover to use!

Have you tried plain rice bran oil on a cotton round? Super gentle, super makeup busting, and all natural moisture. Esp if you follow with a cleanser. No flakies!! I don’t I just wipe with a nice warm washcloth and I’m done.

Oh gosh yes Muse – totally get the eyelid flakies too! I narrowed it down to talc being the villain for me, plus an allergy to baby shampoo after years of using it to clean my lashes – per my dermatologist recommendation. Must stay far far away from baby shampoo now and Avon powder shadows (high talc), among others.

oh no! interesting who would have thought baby shampoo would be an issue!
