Perricone MD Pre: Empt Series The Fixer Solid Oil Balm Launches

Perricone MD Pre: Empt Series The Fixer Solid Oil Balm ($38) is a new solid, multitasking oil balm that can be used all over your body. How much do you love multitasking products? I’m raising my hand and waving it back and fourth like that annoying kid that knows the answer in class. I have a thing for multitasking balms and moisturizers. This particularly formula contains no mineral oil, alcohol, talc, waxes, fillers, or petrolatum.

You can use it on rough elbows, knees, anywhere you need moisture. The balm apparently changes to an non-greasy oil on contact with skin and absorbs quickly while hydrating skin. You can even use as a brow gel or on flyaway hair. Interesting right?

Problem.

It’s $38 bucks.

Ouch.

Cheaper options available, see below!

I imagine the mineral oil and petrolatum-free formula will be very appealing but Hada Labo Gokujyun Premium Hyaluronic Acid Oil Jelly (Review) is a quarter of the price and will likely do the same thing as this formula. Or even the new Delectable Everything Balm which is on sale right now at Ulta for 12 bucks!

I’m a glutton for punishment so I’ll probably purchase this but I think there might be better, cheaper options available.

Perricone MD Pre: Empt Series The Fixer Solid Oil Balm is available now at sephora.com.

I know it contains petroleum, however aquaphor is my HG. I put it on my dry feet at night and by morning, they are baby soft.

I don’t blame you! Aquaphor is awesome for hydrating and retaining moisture!

A great product, but as you have stated, there are cheaper options available because this little beauty wouldn’t go very far if you used it for everything.

Muse; I know it’s a late comment, but you mentioned that you may pick this up anyway. If you do, please review it. I agree that it looks too expensive for the amount given; but if it at least delivers on some of its claims, I want to know (and others too I’m sure!) Thank you so much.
