Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Tint-in-Balm for Spring 2017

Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Tint-in-Balm arrive just in time for the Spring 2017 with a hybrid formula that delivers the formula of a sheer lipstick and the finish of a gloss. A few days ago, I was discussing what sort of finish you liked. Cream, metallic, mattes? Or most importantly, my favorite, glossy!

I happen to be a massive fan of Japanese lipsticks since most have a glossy finish with a melty, balm like texture. If you’ve tried Tarte’s Rainforest of the Sea Drench Lip Splash Lipstick and loved them, you’ll be right at home with Japanese formulas although, they aren’t nearly as melty as Tarte’s formula!

I was excited to read about Yves Saint Laurent Volupte Tint-in-Balm earlier this past Summer as many blogs were posting sneak peeks. I was thinking they’d be a Fall 2016 release but they are turning up for Spring 2017.

Here’s the details.

These yummy new lipsticks have a melting balm formula that gives lips a burst of sheer, light color. YSL packages them up with macadamia and apricot butters, passionfruit, coriander and jojoba oils to nourish and hydrate lips. The outer core of the lipstick provides a sheer, hydrating kiss of color while the inner core has a bit more pigmented for a gradient effect.

Shades include:

  • Dream Me Nude
  • Tease Me Pink
  • Call Me Rose
  • Dare Me Plum
  • Play Me Fuchsia

Yves Saint Laurent Volupté Tint-in-Balm are $34 each and available to pre-book at nordstrom.com.

Hi Muse. You’ve really been piquing my interest with all the mentions of Japanese lipsticks. Like you, I just love a good melty formula. I just don’t know where to start. Can you please throw out a couple of your fave brand names? Say, a mid range and a high end price point? I would be so grateful.
