So, I’m still waiting for that on skincare product that will suck out the nasty blackheads on my nose. Is Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Mask it? Probably not! But seriously, I have tried every single blackhead mask, nose strip, and hot steamer cleanser from all over Asia and none of them have quite eliminated all the pesky blackheads that like to hang out on my nose. I have them extracted manually because nose strips don’t always cut it.

But, my blackheads aren’t your mission today. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to try the new Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Mask and let me know how it goes. I can’t say it, it contains white clay and salicylic acid aka a nightmare cocktail for dry skin. Apparently it’ll draw out dirt, gunk and oil, while scrubbing away those blackheads. Your pores will be sparkly clean and gorgeous again. Apparently, it contains a natural yet potent exfoliating formula to get all the gunk out of your pores.

As for me?

I’ll keep buying Japanese charcoal nose strips and attempt to rip those suckers out of my nose for good!

Philosophy Purity Made Simple Pore Extractor Mask is available at Sephora.com right now.

P.S. My ear worm today is the Kiss Me theme song. Play it a few times, it totally grows on you. There are English subbies around here somewhere, it fits the drama so well.

I’ve recently been trying everything on the planet to get blackheads out except an expert. Do you go to a dermatologist to get them extracted? I’m going to have to give and let the professionals do it, I just don’t know where to start.

esthetician, monthly facial 🙂 just be sure you go to someone with a good reputation that knows what they are doing. Have you tried steam and scrubbing? I don’t have them on my face, just the tip of my nose, so I never asked my dermatologist if he’d consider extracting, I just get a facial and during that time they pluck out nasty blackheads too 😀 You can also use a blackhead tool, they are cheap and there are videos and tutorials on how to use it. I’ve personally never been successful with one though!

Paula’s Choice 2% BAH is my miracle worker for preventing blackheads.

Darn, I was going to suggest this too since it has visibly shrunk my nose pores and reduced my black heads. But I definitely need to use moisturizer afterwards at night.

the Paula’s Choice you mean? That’s def a no g for me! Too drying 😀

One thing that helps with nose strips is to cut them in half so that when you apply them to the nose the cut goes down the center of the nose. Then, when it’s time, peel them outward from the center of your nose. This way you’re pulling the blackheads out in the same direction of the pores, making it easier to remove the gunk.

that’s a brilliant tip thanks Suzanne! going to try that 😀

I also have some pesky blackheads on my nose. Try the new Pacifica Cherry Lava Mask. It’s the best thing I’ve found lately for them.

Have you tried the Dermstick for pores by BeautyRx. A tiny bit at night wherever you need it and no more blackheads. You can get it at HSN or in some expensive department stores. It really works!

Have you heard of sebaceous filaments? They are a normal part of skin and some people’s ones are more noticeable. They are frequently mistaken for blackheads and they come back no matter how many nose strips you use. Type it into a search engine and a lot of articles come up about it. Some have extractions done(but they still come back). I keep mine in check with BHA and a serum with niacinamide.

thanks N! That was totally a good read 😀 I never heard of sebaceous filaments but that sounds like what I have!

Thanks for sharing the video…I used to listen to a bit of Vietnamese music years ago, but I’ve never seen any of their dramas! 🙂

Oh my pleasure 😀 I’ve never listened to much Viet music to be honest. Mostly Korean/Japanese and suddenly, I’m getting into all these cutesy thai pop songs! 😀
