Colourpop Peachy Keen Foursome Review & Swatches

The Colourpop Peachy Keen Foursome ($18) launched several months ago and included four full-size Colourpop Super Shock Shadows in Crimper, Kennedy, Cornelius, and Bandit. This set launched along with the Colourpop Just Peachy Lip Bundle around the holidays and with my hopes that all things peach, orange, and coral might make a come back for Summer I picked it up (although that hope is dying a slow death considering at the moment all things Unicorn, Mermaid, and Metallic seem to be the order of business in the beauty world).

Now that the weather is warming up I’m starting to haul out all my peach, tangerine, coral, and orange maybe and this Colourpop Peachy Keen Set fits right in.

The set comes housed in a cute white box with a peach shaped pull off sleeve. It’s a rather cute presentation! Inside the box you’ll find four full-size eyeshadows which would typically set you back $20 but purchasing the set at $18 gets you a savings of $2. I’m not going to go into a full review of the Super Shock Shadow formula because I’ve reviewed it time and time again on my site and you can learn about it by clicking here.

This set is visually pretty together but slightly challenging when creating a look as the colors don’t seem to contrast and work together as well as they look together if that makes any sense. I struggled a little incorporating Cornelious into the look and at first even Bandit gave me a little bit of an issue. Kennedy was disappointing sheer and not as peachy as I had hoped for but works as a color wash of sorts and a base for Bandit and Crimper.

For my look below I layered a ton of Kennedy all over my lid, it’s sheer you need a ton. After that I was all, “OMG I look horrible!” It’s true, this isn’t the most flattering peach in my makeup life. It’s a very pale peach and I had a feeling after applying it all over my lid that I was going to have a hard time using the other shades in the set especially Bandit which is actually a very dark rusty brown. I questioned how this was going to all play out. I decided to do a very sheer wash of Bandit on my outer corner and proceeded to pat a bot of Crimper on my eye! BAM! It was an instantly sunny look! I was worried that Bandit would be too overpowering to work with Kennedy but turns out the shades bounce off each other nicely. Although, I’m still struggling with Cornelious that seemed to be the odd shade out. I was surprised how much I liked the end result considering how the colors didn’t look like they would jive well together.

In the end, the Colourpop Peachy Keen Foursome wasn’t quite the peachy look I was seeking but it did create a very Spring-friendly look that will work well into the Summer!

I think it’s a great eye look on you, but maybe not with the bright blush? A more nude or less pink cheek and lip and your eyes would be BAM! They’re bam! anyway but you know what I mean. 😉

    • Isabella Muse

aw thanks Susan! Will have to try out with something more nude next time around 😀

The shadows look good on you. I’m always a bit shy of oranges, except for maybe a sheer wash of lip color. I could get into Crimper, though.
I finally got my first order of ColourPop shadow, in Bae, and love it. So I had to order a couple more.

Thanks! I feel you can barely see it because Bandit takes over the look! Yay! 😀 glad to hear it!

Oh that is a very pretty look on you! Just from looking at the shadows in the pot and the arm swatches I thought that a finished look would be something quite different, more dramatic maybe with how rich and dark the brown looked, but I think the look you created is prettier!

    • Isabella Muse

actually Bandit can be applied WAY darker! 😀 I just sheered it out. Thanks Isa xoxoxo!

I bought a few of these when they released *just for* Crimper – it’s hands down the best gold I’ve ever used (as Koosh is best taupey silver, and both, paired with 90210, create the most stunning look. EVER. But – ALL are limited edition and that annoys the **** out of me. Anyway. I figured I wouldn’t use any of the other shades and was ready to donate all, because, again, it’s all about Crimper – only I decided to play with them one night and all 4 combined together made a stunning look. Use Cornelius as a transition shade, Kennedy as your crease shade, Bandit just at the very outer corner (and blend like your life depends on it) and as liner under the eye and Crimper on lid. It’s stunning. So now the friends anticipating the freebies are disappointed :-). And I may buy more, because, Crimper

I agree! Crimper is a super lovely gold and yeah the LE stuff kills me 🙁 thanks for the tips on using! I’m going to try your look and see how it comes out 😀

I think the eye look is soft and pretty! I think Crimper saved the day by adding that nice gold sparkle !

Hmmm. . . I wasn’t tempted by this quad at all until I saw your eye look. Verrrry pretty. Going to have to evaluate my stash and see if I have anything similar. I suspect I may, but we shall see. . .

I’m trilled with my Mama’s Apple Pie! The colors turned out gorgeous one medium rose/peachy, the pure bronze is beautiful also and a great match for fair skin. The dark blue will be great for an evening out and it includes a gorgeous white highliter. I’m so tempted to get also Phase Four all very light colors for Summer! I got Studio 1400 which is darker more suitable for winter this one has a gorgeous emerald! Oh! I’m in deep trouble! Besides WetnWild! Lol! I’m trying si hard to resist the highliters they are good! But own so many fully covered.

Is pretty! The white iridescent color is beautiful! Talk about mermaids and unicorns. Nice to wear as eye highlight or by the tear duct. Really like them!

Wow!! You did such a great job with this look!! Im having a really hard time with Colour pop. I adore their colors but I find it so hard to put on.. they just go everywhere and I cant blend the edges properly.. ish!! Your reviews are always so much fun to read 🙂

    • Isabella Muse

aw you’re too kind! Thanks Mari! I use my finger,I’ve come to the conclusion you can’t really apply them any other way 😀 thank you so much for the lovely comment 😀
