Ulta Ships to Canada

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Good news makeup fans! Ulta ships to Canada now! Thanks so much to my reader, kjh, for the news! If you visit the Ulta.com site and scroll all the way to the bottom of the page you can switch to the Canadian site and all items will appear in Canadian dollars.

I don’t know the exact cost of shipping but I’m assuming it’ll be reasonable since they now have a global portal for the Ulta site! Or at least I’m hoping it’s reasonable.

The lack of Canadian shipping has been a sore spot for many Ulta fans. Sephora has a Canadian portal and in an attempt to be a better version of Sephora, Ulta has improved on many aspects of their branding. I suspect a new website is in the works at some point as well and potentially a Flash-like shipping service like Sephora has. Ulta has evolved a lot in the past year, bringing in new and exciting brands like NARS and MAC. The addition of Canadian shipping is just one of many steps they’ve taken to improve the entire beauty and makeup shopping experience. Not to mention their cash back reward membership is considerably better than Sephora’s Rouge/VIB/BI program.

I really like all the changes Ulta and I look forward to seeing where they go in the future.

Happy Shopping, Canadian fans!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Hi
I’m Canadian and was so happy to learn that Ulta started shipping to Canada. For the Lorac Unizipped palette, 34$ in shipping [the cheapest one offered]. Guess I still won’t be buying from Ulta anytime soon, these rates are ridiculous.

omg crazy sorry to hear it. Hopefully they improve on that or offer some sort of free shipping jeez!

International shipping is expensive! I don’t even know how big businesses offer free shipping. I bought an order of makeup brushes from a mom & pop brand in Korea and had it shipped to the US. Shipping was $28. The owner apologized for the shipping upfront in a YouTube video but said that she was actually eating a few dollars on every order on the shipping even at $28. That being said, the order arrived incredibly fast. Usually my free shipping orders from Korea take 2-3 weeks; this order took a few days.

Yeah, same here. I compared some Too Faced products across Ulta and Sephora (both in Canadian dollars) and Ulta was anywhere from $5 to over $10 more than Sephora’s prices. I put the PB&J palette in my cart to see shipping – $25, and that was without any duties/taxes I would have to pay when it gets here.

I’ve got VIP Rouge, so I’ll stick with Sephora’s lower prices and free shipping (as well as no duties as it’s shipped within Canada). I’ll just have to buy the Ulta exclusives when on my vacays as I’ve always done! 🙂

It’s funny because my international Korea orders are always marked as “Gifts” on the customs forms. I think that’s how they get around paying duties??

I heard someone on YouTube say Ulta was coming to Canada (but maybe they meant just shipping). Aw well, I can dream!!!

  • Satinder

Yayy!! This is such exciting news!! Ulta carries a lot of brands that we dont have in Canada. So excited to finally have Ulta shipping to us!! 🙂 So excited to start trying new makeup!

Sucks that shipping is so much…. but i can ship to the border. My issue was always that they wouldn’t accept our Canadian credit cards. So now I’ll just buy and ship to a border storage location!

    I’m jealous.

Hopefully, this venture is a success for them and they will start expanding their operations to more countries!

I’m Canadian and was so excited to make my first order 2 days ago, but it turned into a bit of a nightmare. I made the order because I wanted the gift of the day (the Becca highlighter set). I also had also coupon code and was excited out getting points. I bought over $100 to get free shipping. Here’s the main issues I had:

    1. 2 of the items I wanted were ‘not available for international shipping’ – a setting spray and an eyeshadow palette!?? I tried to add them 3 times with no luck. However, the next day I tried again and it let me. Now I have to make another order, pay $7.50 shipping and another $20- $27 in duties … not fair or right.

    2. I was not able to access many brands even though Ulta carries them (glitch on the global site). Many brands were missing from their list.

    3. I could not find a place to enter my coupon code or sign up for points. It took me 3 1/2 hours to place my order due to all of the above.

    4. One day after my order confirmation, I received ano email saying one of my items had been cancelled, and it was the FREE gift (the reason I made the order)! They said it was because of custom rules (which I don’the buy because Ive ordered like items from Tarte and elf with no issues) and there was no option to cancel.

I called customer service and at first was offered a $15 coupon plus the $5 one I wasn’t able to use, but then was told that Ulta did not currently offer coupons, discount codes or reward points for Canadians! The customer service rep was super sweet and apologetic but in the end the only thing they could do was offer to cancel my order.
