Urban Decay Naked Skin Shapeshifter Ensures the Health of Contouring

The new Urban Decay Naked Skin Shapeshifter Palette ensures the health of contouring is alive and kicking. Unicorn everything aside, everyone is still very obsessed with contouring themselves because we all want to have a jawline for days. Or at least some of us do. I’m ok with my chubby little face. We don’t want me getting too near a contouring palette because a hot mess will only be the start of things. My contouring game is as bad as my highlighting one!

Urban Decay Naked Skin Shapeshifter Palettes will give you contouring, color correcting, and highlighters in one easy spot. It looks like each palette has a double tier with five cream correctors and concealers located on one level and four contouring and highlighting palettes located on the second level.

See pics below!

They haven’t set a launch for these bad boys yet but I expect we’ll see them soon after the official Urban Decay X Jean-Michel Basquiat release at Sephora and Ulta. They are launching them in two shade selections one of which is a lighter shade selection and the other a darker.

Update: Available now at Sephora.com.

What do you think?

I’m not really into the entire contouring thing but I’m positive people are going to flock to stores to grab them up.

I’m sure sephora.com and ulta.com will have them as we head deeper into the Summer months.

Will you be hauling?

Oh and by the very way, isn’t the Bates series finale tonight? I’m kind of behind watching! I think I’m back two episodes but Norman is having a major break down from what I seen so far. Think it’ll end with him in an electric chair? Or in a mental hospital? Or as my mother claims, “He’s going to get away with it all and blame it on Romero!”

As for me, I can’t get past muttering, “It puts to lotion in the hand basket” every time Brooke Smith comes on the screen.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. In my opinion, these seem a little gimmicky. I feel like the common people will be turned away by the cream correctors since it adds bulk and most normal people don’t color correct or cream contour on a daily basis. I would be more draw to this if they halved the price and made the powder and cream side two separate products because they both seem pretty. I’ve also noticed extreme contouring has begun to die down and people are leaning more towards fresher glowy skin. Maybe I’m wrong though!

how much are they? I didn’t see the price listed curious minds!

I am sure HOPING that extreme contouring is dying down! Also super-thick foundation (Kabuki, anyone?) and the over-highlighting fad that makes people look like glazed doughnuts. How I miss the more natural look. I’ve seen some vloggers that literally look like plastic robots. Oh well.

NAF of this new palette at all — I hate having creams and powders together because the powder gets in the creams and the creams dry out. Plus, would one person really use all those color correctors? Now, the new UD Basquiat blush palette, that I want, because I’ll use the contour and highlighter as eyeshadows and the two blush colors are gorgeous.

I’m starting to be a little over the contouring. You know what’s funny? In Korean beauty, they only contour the lower jaw line to make their face look smaller and maybe the nose a little bit to give a taller, button-nose effect.

Likewise! I don’t even bother…! I’m not terribly good at it anyway plus I look made up when I do try to do it 😀

Almost never contour. Occ. Mufe ash plum or old Nyx taupe. S.t. Use highlighter as blush. This is as interesting to me as root canal….kind of would like to be anesthetized until the c/h train finally departs the station. At this point, there’s dupes of dupes of dupes. Had to chuckle a bit at the reference to the KB vee line. Frankly, I have bigger concerns than the SHAPE of my face. Hell, it took me > 2 years to find a e/m /u remover and a foundation w/o sensitizers. Got too much research to do on the basics to get worked up about accumulating ten tons of c/h cosmetics.
