It Cosmetics Confidence In An Eye Cream Review

This was provided to me by a brand for review and I receive a small commission if you shop using the links in this post but all opinions are my own.

I’ve been using It Cosmetics Confidence In An Eye Cream for the past several weeks and I decided now was a good time as any to review it. I haven’t had a great track record with Confidence in a Cream in all honesty so, I was a little served about trying Confidence in an Eye Cream not to mention I was sorely disappointed with It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Eye Cream which was great on moisture but not much else.

None the less, you can easily tempt me with the promise of a formula developed by plastic surgeons that “transforms the entire eye area”. This one contains some incredible ingridents like ceramides plus the promise to treat fine lines and puffiness while firming up the under eye area. Yes, please, I’m so on board!

At $38, It Cosmetics Confidence In An Eye Cream is definitely a more affordable eye cream option. I think we’ve all, at least once in my our lives, spent far more on eye cream. Needless to say under $40 is a cheaper option in my opinion. I’m quite happy that It Cosmetics ventured into the realms of skincare but honestly, some of their skincare offerings have just been meh for me and I’m sad to say Confidence in an Eye Cream is one of those products.

As you probably know from my endless conversations about it, I suffer from drier, puffier eyes. Sure, I have finer lines but I find the more I hydrate the better they look. So, nothing is every going to completely eliminate finer lines in the eye cream department but at the least moisture will help.

This cream is thick, rich, creamy, and has a buttery texture that’s quite lovely. It absorbs easily under my eyes and I didn’t develop milia from it. The consistency is a spot on dupe for the moisturizer’s formula but this doesn’t, thankfully, contain any citrus fragrance. For some reason, I expected them to go their with the fragrance since the newly launched Confidence in your Glow Blush did have a fragrance as well as the moisturizer. But thankfully they did not!

This is a nice formula for drier eyes as it’s creamy and nicely moisturizing and it wears well under concealer. There’s no doubt you’ll get moisture from this formula. But sadly, that’s about the extent of what you’ll get.

Oddly enough, it contains some incredible ingredients but I wouldn’t say my finer lines, puffiness, or minor darkness under my eyes that I have was improved any after using it for the past two months or so. But this didn’t surprise me at all. I actually went into testing it not expecting a lot so I wasn’t terribly disappointed when it didn’t deliver. A lot of the It Cosmetics Skincare offerings haven’t really impressed me so, at this point it comes as no surprise that Confidence in an Eye Cream didn’t glow my mind.

If you’re looking for moisture, this eye cream has it. If you’re looking for a miracle to depuff and treat finer lines and dark circles, sadly, this isn’t the solution.

Does anything really improve puffiness besides diet change or surgery? I haven’t found any eye cream/serum that really helps me any. I’m thinking of giving up on eye stuff.

Water, lots of it and yes diet, be aware of your salt intake. If it’s puffiness from allergies, a late night, you might find an eye cream can help but honestly, if it has anything at all to do with age, water retention, or otherwise, no eye cream is ever going to help! I probably wouldn’t give up on eye cream. My eyes are too dry to go without 🙂

For temporary results that are caused by diet/allergies/dehydration, the best I’ve found is Fresh Lotus eye gel. It doesn’t fix the problems (really only plastic surgery will), but it basically gives me the best eyes I can have without surgery, if that makes sense?

They say caffeine is a good ingredient in skin care to help temporarily with puffiness. This isn’t my particular concern so I don’t have any particular product recommendations. I know some people like The Ordinary’s caffeine serum, but some people do not.

I don’t have puffiness but do have killer dark circles. After many years and much wasted money, I’ve decided it’s genetic and nothing helps except to cover them with corrector and/or concealer. There is no magic topical cream that will improve them. However, I do think eye cream can help with fine wrinkles and lines. I haven’t found an expensive one that beats good ol’ Roc Retinol Correxion Eye Cream. (Still, I live in hope so thanks for the review!)

concealer, concealer, concealer 🙂 no eye cream is going to work on dark circles, def no miracle cream for it sadly 🙁 Aw my pleasure! I live in hope too 😀

Caudalie Premier Cru for eyes has been lovely for my fine lines, I’m 40 and although I get oily lids I do get puffy bags and fine lines. Have you tried it? I like Charlotte Tilbury’ s miracle eye wand too for under foundation although I see it didn’t impress you much lol from your review x

It needs to stop giving all their products the same name. there are so many “confidence in a *whatever*” that it gets really confusing. I usually pass on It because of it.

    • Isabella Muse

Confidence I’m ok with because it’s not too overwhelming but all the Bye Bye stuff gets REALLY confusing!

        • Isabella Muse

haha! I seriously don’t mind the Confidence stuff because there’s not TOO many items in the collection yet but damn the bye bye stuff is like omg confusing. Bye Bye Eye Cream Bye Bye Eye Concealer it starts to all run together!

Run don’t walk and buy TheOrdinary’s Caffiene Solution and add it to any eye cream or use it alone. I love it. It did reduce my puffiness.

Philosophy depuffer really does decrease under eye puffiness. Can’t remember the exact name.
