The Kat Von D Glimmer Eyeshadow Palette Has Me Melting!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The new Kat Von D Glimmer Eyeshadow Palette was posted on Instagram today and I think I’m melting into a puddle of ooze. It’s stunning! Too Faced Glitter Bomb Eyeshadow is set to launch soon but it’s not nearly exciting as this gorgeous Glitter Eyeshadow Palette. Apparently it contains re-imagined shades from the popular Shade+Light Palettes but with a new glimmer finish that catches the light and adds a shimmery dimension to the shades.

Update: Kat Von D Glimmer Eyeshadow Palette is available today at Sephora.com!

The palette includes 12 different shades, nine of which are in the glimmer formulation where as there are three more satiny neutral shades or at least that’s what the promo image looks like!

Pics below!

Isn’t it gorgeous? I’m all about nude, natural shades and this contains a host of them in a gorgeous shimmery formula. Yes, please, sign me up!

The Shade + Light Palette is $48 at Sephora.com.

I’m betting this bad boy sells out fast when it launches.

I know I want it.

What about you?

I really like KVD eye shadows, the Shade & Light all matte pallet especially. I’ll have to see just how shimmery this is because I do like metallics and satins — but glitter and frost, not so much.

agreed on the glitter and frost! I’m hoping for something as refined as the stila magnificent metals glitter & glow liquid eyeshadow!

This reminds me a lot of the shimmer shades in the Lorac Pro Palette 1, which I have not reached for in ages. It just may be time to haul it out to play with again!

This one is a gotta have it. Love the shades. I hope it is not glitter sparkles every where.

KVD has my absolute favorite eyeshadow formula. I have been saying for 2 years, that my DREAM palette would be her eye contour in shimmer shades! Omg!!! I use her matte contour palette in almost every look I do. I have such oily skin and her shadows STAY and look great all day. Plus their blendability….oh my. I will own this!

Looks very pretty and appealing, but I have to wonder how much it would overlap with the UD and Tarte palettes already in my collection. I’ve never used her eyeshadows before, though I’ve been tempted by some. I will await reviews. The colors scream autumn to me, which I like, but considering it’s not even quite summer yet, I’m not ready!

Really interested in seeing swatches and testing this out. I think my ideal palette would be a mix of this and the original Shade & Light.

It will be mine. I hope that design is on the front.. that is outstanding. At first glance it’s just sparkly then you notice it’s all the shades in the palette fading from one side to the other.

It looks gorgeous and such a compliment to her Shade and Light palette. I just hope it’s not glittery or frosty, but beautifully shimmery and satiny.

I’m on the fence about this one. I tend to gravitate towards KVD eyeshadows but I’m not sure what to do with dark shimmers. I find it harder to create depth with them because the shimmer always seem to catch the light on my puffier eyelids.

    • Waymire

Especially if you have puffy or hooded eyes you want to leave the dark Shimmer isolated on the lid and surround it with Mattes in the crease . you just have to find Mattes that are dark enough to set that crease back, even if that means using black. I really don’t think that this is a stand-alone pallette, this is meant to go with the regular shade and Light… and that is certainly how I will be using it.

I will probably buy this one. I really want her to re-release the original Saint palette in the new eyeshadow formula. I loved the shades in that one but it irritated my eyes sometimes fierce. The shade and light eye contour does not irritate me at all, and I lurve it so. I went so far as to contact her customer service about it. The want is REAL
