Lemon Aid is Gone But Tarte Lid Lock Clay Eye Base Is Here!
Benefit Lemon Aid has been discontinued and I have hopes Tarte Lid Lock Clay Eye Base ($21) will save the day (don’t worry, HSN has a few pots of Lemon Aid still in stock if you want to stock up before it disappears forever).
With Lemon Aid gone the hunt is on to discover a new way to brighten up my eye area and neutralize redness/darkness on my lid. Someone recommended me Ben Nye’s Creme Highlight which I’m waiting patiently to ship and I also ordered up the Tarte Lid Lock Clay Eye Base yesterday in the hopes it would prove brilliant.
I’m terribly old or perhaps just tired because I recall Tarte having some sort of lid base in the past but the name of it is escaping me at the moment. Or maybe I’m imagining they had one! Oh, wait, I remember now it was Amazonian Clay Waterproof Shadow Primer. This is apparently an “eye foundation” of sorts that acts to prep and prime lids while keeping eyeshadows in place all day. It’s a warm matte buff shade but the promo images make it look quite cool and fair. They do say it can act as a creamy, opaque eyeshadow to neutralize lid discolorations. When I’m not wearing makeup I tend to pop on some concealer under my eyes, Lemon Aid on my lids, and a little cheek stain and I’m good. I hope I can do the same with Lid Lock Clay Eye Base. Just a quick swipe, blend, and instant brightening eye look.
We shall see if it works out that way!
A girl can hope and if it preps for eyeshadow as well that makes it even more brilliant.
