About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Wow. I’m there, with the coupon I never used for rouge renewal…nada before the sale. They reissued the coupon…?..Ciate is another brand that jumped quite successfully out of nails into color cosmetics. Their blushes to date have only been cream, so I haven’t bitten. These look gorgeous. Only have the CM haul and the OP smouldering, but these look great and I still want plain fearless (not as many dupes as the pretty has, in the CM haul palette.). The LL is pretty decent, too. The surface treatment on these is TDF. Hope it’s deep. There is the possibility that individual items will have diff mixes of the component colors and could vary substantially, like the HG marbled products. Nice. Thanks.

Actually, the Sephora swatches don’t impress me at all. The shimmer/highlight is predominant, making all the shades look more alike than differentiated. Have to trek to see them live.

  • Agona

These are really pretty. I’ve never tried Ciate before.

OH. MY. GOD. The packaging! Forget the Hourglass swirly blushes, I want these instead! Silly to say about a product before I’ve even read a review I know, but these are total win in terms of visual appeal!

    • Isabella Muse

I thought the same thing, they looked way prettier in comparison 😀

      • Isa

Yeah, love the little stars on these. Hourglass packaging has it’s own appeal, but for me pretty almost always wins out over elegant lol.

I love cheek products that aren’t just one color. I’ve never even tried Ciate before and I’m attracted to these. I don’t know why but one color blushes bore me in the pan. Plus, these is multi-colored and got a pretty design imprinted!! (whereas Clinique Cheek Pop for example is one color but with a flower design imprinted).

I haven’t tried Ciate before either! But these blushes look so pretty that they make me want to!

Ooh, pretty. I totally forgot about these when I remember being so excited they were launching. I’m not a fan of Ciate in generla, but blushes are usually more forgiving and easy to get along with. Which shades did you haul?

    • Isabella Muse

hey! I forgot about these too 😀 I actually like Ciate’s makeup range, they have some fun stuff 😀 I got the shades Date Night and Matchmaker!

    • Agona

I’d been previously curious about their eye shadows; maybe it’s time to explore them a little. Ugh…but I wanted to make a Kiko haul. Arrrgh!

  • Emily

Which 2 did you order? I’m going to guess. . . Matchmaker and Baby Doll. These all look so pretty, yet they all look very, very similar in the swatches, at least on my screen. Eager to read how they perform!

    • Isabella Muse

Hey Emily! I got Date Night and Matchmaker! I thought so too which is why I only got two. If they are brilliant, I’ll def buy more 😀 testing the waters first!

  • Paula White

Pretty, pretty, pretty! How does one decide on just one or two? I will probably” buy the lot. Thanks for the heads up!

These look gorgeous shades and I am like Agona above – I don’t like just one shade in my blush, I like a bit of a mosaic of shades. I think you will be very happy with these Isabella.
