Too Faced I Want Kandee for Fall 2017 Is More Than Just an Eyeshadow Palette

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Earlier in the month, the Too Faced I Want Kandee Eyeshadow Palette popped up on Instagram and I admit I expressed some disappointment as I thought it would be something more ya know? I was happy to find out it actually smells like candy and also that there’s a lot more coming from the the I Want Kandee Collection.

Here’s some more details!

Ok, so originally it looked like they were merely launching an eyeshadow palette which I admit was disappointing. But turns out there is an entire collection of items launching all of which will be available September 3rd, 2017 at Ulta.com.

The palette contains 15 eyeshadow shades which apparently smell like candy and are obviously inspired by it as well if some of these names are anything to go by:

  • Butterscotch
  • Sweet Coffee
  • Banana Cream Pie
  • Frosted Pink
  • Hot Chocolate
  • Ice Cream
  • Whipped Cream
  • Licorice Rope
  • Taupe Berry

Along with the the palette we’ll be seeing 4 new Melted Matte Liquid Lip Colors in the following shades:

  • Melted Ice Cream (nude)
  • Freshly Baked (nude rose)
  • Tropical Punch (hot pink)
  • Sweet and Sour (red orange)

No word on if these are flavored by I’m imagine they might just be! There’s also a black eyeliner in the shade black licorice launching and a stick highlighter called Candy Glow.

And finally, my favorite, the new Banana Pudding Powder which is a yellow face powder that brightens and evens out your complexion and yes, it smells like banana pudding. The main reason I’m interested in this one is because it can be used under eyes and you know the mad love affair I have with anything that brightens up my under eye area.

Hey TF I have an idea –why not stop thinking of new gimmicks, smells, stickers, fairy dust, etc. to put in your makeup and actually make eye shadows that are good quality and *gasp* unique?! I’m so not interested in any of this. In fact, I haven’t been this disinterested in a brand since I stopped buying drugstore cosmetics.

Bingo. Over. GTFU. This doesn’t excite me; it almost insults me. I am an adult, not a teeny bopper. Plus most scented/flavored shades will contain saccharine, which is a potent allergen. You know, it’s kind of nice to rule something out, before it hits the floors or the web!

    • Silvia

Lol! So true! Do they come out with gimmicks! I don’t own any and am suck if them already. 😉

  • Terra Drake

Can’t wait to get my hands on it. Looks very yummy!

  • Maria

Have to wait for reviews and swatches. The last few TF eye palettes were not up to par.

  • Diane

i’m interested in the banana powder for setting my undereye concealer but i’m weird with banana scent so i have to sniff test it first. the shadow palette actually does not intrigue me at all, surprisingly.

    • Isabella Muse

likewise! I really want to test it out under my eyes! The banana excites me lol! I like the smell of banana!

  • kel h.

i seriously cannot keep up with them! feel like they have too many new releases.

  • Mo

I don’t get why they’re doing sneak peeks sooo early. I’m not really excited about Too Faced lately. Too much hype when the quality isn’t there.

  • Cheryl

I suspect this is more of what they have been producing… All flash, no substance. It’s difficult to generate any excitement over a new release when they announce one every two months. I think that Too Faced should realize that they have saturated the market with kitschy ideas since their natural love pallet is still sitting on shelves in abundance. Buyers have caught onto the fact that their “Limited addition” hype equates to an inferior product rushed to market.

I do not want candee or banana scented stuff on my face. The idea actuallee makes me a bit nauseous (I like the cocoa powder scented ones but certain smells can give me a migraine).

At this point I want to slap TF. They’re all about the packaging any more and Mama ain’t got monee to throw away like that. If TF wants to be a glitteree, pink, unicorn, cutesee company for tweeners, knock yourself out. I am done with you until your qualitee returns.

I’m such a sucker when it comes to Too Faced Cosmetics! I’ll be buying the Kandee Kollection, Clover palette and the rest of the peach line that is coming to Sephora soon. I only have two holiday palettes from 2013 and 2014 and I’ve never even used those yet because so many people say the holiday palettes aren’t up to par. I need to find out for myself…

  • Thea

I’ve enjoyed Too Faced products for awhile. I own a whole bunch of their stuff. That being said – CAN THEY PLEASE STOP PUTTING FRAGRANCES IN THEIR PRODUCTS. No one needs an eyeshadow or blush that smells like candy. And for folks like me, who break out at the first sign of fragrance in makeup this is a no buy. I haven’t bought any of their new releases for that reason.

  • Yen

99% of the collection I’m not interested in, but the banana powder seems intriguing if it’ll brighten underneath my eyes. I love bananas so I don’t mind it having a banana scent!

    • Isabella Muse

Likewise! I do want the banana powder for sure ;D

  • Isa

I find the most interesting item to be the banana powder too!

    • Isabella Muse

I thought so too! Not so sure on the palette but the powder looks intriguing 😀

  • Sarah

I cannot stand Too Faced anymore. Not only have they just not brought their A game when they release these palettes, but they also blocked me on Instagram when I questioned the recent controversy swirling around them (I don’t know if they’re still doing it, but anyone asking what’s going on with Too Faced gets their comments deleted and blocked. So professional!). It’s become VERY clear that they only care about profit, and the desires of their consumers means nothing to them.

I’m flat out done with Too Faced. With all the money they make, they can put out amazing LE products and hire a PR team that can handle a little heat.

    • Isabella Muse

They’ll have to block a lot of people for asking questions then. That’s kind of dumb! *rolls eyes* they should really release a statement on the issue because it’s snowballing out of control and they are trying to ignore it which is causing my damage than good. 😀

  • Beth

I used to get so excited for too faced but now it seems like every release is the same generic neutral colours and it’s like… wow yay mid tone brown, pinkish colour and other generic shades that are in literally every palette they do. I wish they would do something actually exciting! 🙁

  • NutellaNoella

Borrrrrring. Wake me up when they come out with a berry inspired pallet.

Although…I’m keeping one eye open for the banana powder. Going to wait for your review first 🙂

  • Dorothy McDowell

I have broken up with Too Faced for many reasons, but the inferior quality and questionable business practices top the list! I have also broken up with Tarte because of the sickening fawning over greedy ‘beauty gurus’,. How about running a contest and taking CUSTOMERS, you know, the people that actually pay for your products on lavish trips? You know, the people that PAY for their products? Heck, Willie Wonka it – put a golden ticket in their products… etc. There are too many GREAT brands out there to have to line the pockets of ungrateful, gloating, greedy ohhhhh sorry, rant over,,,, LOL 🙂 PLUS – Makeup Revolution often dupes them and their dupes are often better than the originals! and especially since you can buy the entire line on Tambeauty.com I hope they dupe the banana powder, which is the only thing that interests me.
