I finally got my hands on the new Flower Beauty Flower Pots Powder Blush ($8.98) that launched earlier this Spring. I was terribly intrigued by these new blushes since I really like the Milani Powder Blush and hello, these are identical in styling to those! So yeah, that might have been a buying point for me because throwing cute flower shaped blushes at me gets my attention really fast.

Let’s take a look at my review and swatches below!

Even though Milani recently released the much more expensive and smaller sized Color Harmony Blush Palette, the Rose Powder Blush still remains the same generously sized 0.60 oz size and sweet $7.99 price tag. The reason I’m mentioning this is because Milani’s Rose Powder Blush is still the more affordable option as Flower Beauty Flower Pots are $8.98 and hold 0.21 oz of product.

These come in tiny compacts with a clear lid and rose gold detailing. They are quite cute and considerably smaller packaging wise compared to Milani’s version which makes them easier to store but they aren’t as small as say Clinique’s Cheek Pop Blush. The packaging is pretty minimal but cute however, I hated the huge white sticker they popped on the back of each. For some reason it cheapened the packaging for me.

If you didn’t like the drier, firmer texture of the Milani formula you’ll likely love this one. It’s a bit more powdery and a lot more sheerer and natural. I felt like I couldn’t get these wrong during application! They blend very nicely and I never felt like I was overdoing it since the formula is very forgivable and not terribly pigmented but very buildable. The wear time was a little shorter for me as they faded at around the six hour mark.

I have mixed feelings about Flower Beauty Flower Pots Blush! I liked the natural look of them, I liked how easily they applied, but I wouldn’t say they evoked the wow factor for me. The price is a bit more than Milani’s version which also contains a good deal more and really, I actually like Milani’s formula so, I’m pretty good with it. If you already own Milani’s version and like it, no need to indulge in these. But if you didn’t like Milani’s formula you might just be happier with Flower Beauty’s!

Flower Beauty Flower Pots Blush is available now at Walmart and Walmart.com.

Way back when Anna Sui first launched, their blushes and single eyeshadows had a rose pressed into the powder too. Since then, I’ve had a predilection for that kind of design.

The blushes themselves look pretty nice on! I actually don’t mind a medium amount of pigment as long as it’s buildable. I find it easier to build something up then trying to tone something down.

That second color is right up my alley for lip and cheek colors!! I haven’t seen these at my Walmart though. They never have flower at the ones I go to.
