About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

I am the only person in the world without a cell phone so I cannot sign up. It’s not really fair. 🙁

No you are not. I refuse to get one. I could go on at length about delegating brain functions to a device, how it is addictive, how it fractures any hope of privacy, how it insists on its own immediacy at the expense of safety, how it makes the most trivial things of utmost importance, how it ramps up the self importance of the user, and how it disrupts social contact. 5 kids sit in a room smoking weed. Normal. But every one of them on his own device? Not talking or interacting? Flat out wrong. If I believed in the devil, I would also believe the cell phone was his personal invention. Texting while driving is illegal. So why is everyone compelled to do it? No one can get from point A to point B without a phone for directions. Kids cannot even walk without one. They don’t play, explore, exercise…they are too busy on their phones. People come to your house to vent, and spend the entire time screeching at the object of the vent…on the cell of course. Lost productivity, bec workers use their phones while working and while waiting on people. On and on. I can afford one, but will NEVER go there. Btw, tried to sign up at the Rack and couldn’t. Their loss of business. TS. I have no issue with persons using cells appropriately, whatever that is. Or that people have only cells. A device is only as ‘bad’ as the user. But when media suggests that every 8 year old needs an i 7, and that is commonly accepted, there is def s.t. wrong. Betcha never expected a cell phone rant on a makeup blog!
