Lorac Beauty and the Beast Lipstick Collection Review & Swatches
The new, limited edition Lorac Beauty and the Beast Lipstick Collection ($36) includes five Lorac Mod Cream Lipstick shades inspired by the Beauty and the Beast film. This is probably my second favorite set in this collection, the Cheek Palette being the first, as all of these shades were quite flattering on me not to mention it’s such an excellent value since it included five full-size lipsticks.
Let’s tale a look!
After purchasing the Lorac Beauty and the Beast Lipstick Collection from the brand’s website I ended up purchasing another set when it launched at Ulta as soon of these shades are too good not to own backups of. It’s a rarity I run across a lipstick or lipgloss set that contains all shades I love.
This set comes housed in a gold metallic box. The lipstick barrels are gold with clear casing that has a rose vine design embedded on the front that swirls down to the bottom of the tube. Lorac and Beauty and the Beast’s emblem is located on the inner barrel of the lipstick. It’s a very pretty presentation. Each lipstick is 0.11 oz in size each with a total of 0.55 oz of lipstick in the entire set.
These are the same Mod Cream formula that was presented in the Lorac Pirates of the Caribbean Mod Lip Cream Duo that launched a few weeks ago but I found the formula much, much nicer and less dense, drier in comparison to the Pirate release. They are not matte nor as dense as Lorac Alter Ego Lipstick either.
I really enjoyed this formula. It’s light, creamy, has a slight shine and wore for around four to five hours depending on the shades. It applied very easily on my drier lips with a smooth, even finish and excellent full coverage that was pigmented on a single layer. There is a faint, subtle vanilla flavor and fragrance as well which I found pleasant enough.
Shades include:
- True Beauty (pale mauve)
- Red Rose (petal red)
- Belle-ieve (nude)
- Tres Chic (beige)
- Savior Faire (nude peachy rose)
I was delighted with these shades. Almost all of them worked really well with my skin tone and there’s quite a nice variety of wearable nudes as well as stronger pops of color like a gorgeous rose red.
All in all the Lorac Beauty and the Beast Lipstick Collection is well worth indulging in. The price is right, the formula is a joy to use, and the colors are gorgeous. And don’t forget about the gorgeous packaging.
Love!
