For all the ladies and lads who are tired of the matte metallic trend, I present to you the new L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Metallics Liquid Lipstick that have a true metallic finish because matte metallics are just confusing right?

Here’s my thoughts, swatches, and review on the new L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Metallic Liquid Lipstick.

L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Metallics Liquid Lipstick are a retake on the LOreal Infallible Lip Paints formula that launched last year with a new metallic finish for the Summer. These are available in four shades that are launching in drugstores but it appears that Ulta.com has two additional shades which might just be exclusive.

The original Infallible Paints are permanent and there’s not mentioning if the new metallic ones are as well. I’m leaning towards saying they might be limited edition since they are available in such a small color selection but they might just be added to the permanent collection.

L’Oreal Foil Infallible Lip Paint Metallic Liquid Lipstick Swatches (Moon Lust, Galactic Foil, Smoldering Eclipse, Liquid Venom)

I love the original formula and although I’m not a fond fan of metallic I was still eager to try out the new finish for myself. These come in a squeeze tube with an attached wand that removes from the tube and has a flocked sponge applicator for application. They are around $7.99-$9.99 each and 0.27 oz in size compared to Maybelline Color Jolt Intense Lip Paint which are smaller at 0.21 oz in size and the same price. Obviously, L’Oreal is taking on the Too Faced Melted Chocolate Liquified Lipstick but on a much larger scale in terms of color selection with a better formula not to mention a cheaper one.

As I mentioned above these are a true metallic finish with a poured metal look that has a gorgeous sparkly glint in sunlight. They are far superior to the recently launched Revlon Ultra HD Matte Metallic Lipcolor in terms of formula and finish.

L’Oreal Moon Lust Infallible Lip Paint Metallic Liquid Lipstick

L’Oreal Smoldering Eclipse Infallible Lip Paint Metallic Liquid Lipstick

These are beautifully formulated with a thin yet creamy texture that applies smoothly and evenly on lips. Just a note, I tend to have drier, chapped lips and that extends to my lip line so, I did notice that the color migrated a little when my lips were drier and the color crept over my lip line. If you have finer lines or drier lips you might notice some movement and migration. I noticed no flavor or fragrance with these and they wear for a good four hours and they remove easily should you want to reapply throughout the day. The pigmentation is excellent with a full opaque finish on a single layer that gets more intense with each pass. No matter how much I applied the formula was very light and comfortable without feeling sticky, tacky, or too heavy.

L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Metallic Liquid Lipstick is a refreshing change from some of the metallic lip products that have been launching at the drugstore the last couple of months. If you’re looking for a dramatic and true metallic lippie with excellent pigmentation and a beautifully lightweight and easy to wear formula I think you’ll love these.

L’Oreal Infallible Lip Paint Metallic Liquid Lipstick is available now at drugstores, ulta.com, target.com, and amazon.com.

Wow these do seem much better than the revlon ones you just reviewed. All the shades look much better on you, but I gotta say, something about that galactic foil shade is just stunning on you and your skin tone!

These are much, much better than all of the other ones I have seen and I just adore that Venom colour. Each of these looked really pretty on you, especially Moon Lust. Thank you for the review.

I have #332 Galactic Foil and it’s really pretty, except if you wipe it off with a tissue you have straight up glitter all over your face! wasn’t expecting that haha
