Maybelline Super Stay Eraser Lip Color Remover ($6.99) is a new long-wearing lipstick remover that launched with the Maybelline Summer 2017 Collection. You guys know how much a miss long-wearing lipstick with the main reason being they are just so damn difficult to remove and reapply not to mention they get terribly dry as the day progresses. I have my little how to reapply long-wearing lipstick throughout the day hack but since that time I’ve just started using Urban Decay Meltdown Makeup Remover Lip Oil Stick which makes the process incredibly easy.

I wanted to try Maybelline Super Stay Eraser because it was much cheaper than Urban Decay’s formula and hey, maybe it would make my long-wearing lipstick life a little easier.

Someone mentioned to me they use Chapstick or lipgloss to remove long-wearing lipsticks and it does work especially lipgloss. However, Chapstick isn’t quite as good and even though Maybelline Super Stay Eraser Lip Color Remover is just a big old hunk of clear wax it still seems to work considerably better than Chapstick.

At 0.10 oz and $6.99 in price this is considerably cheaper and contains more product compared to $15 and Urban Decay’s smaller 0.06 oz Meltdown Makeup Remover Lip Oil. But I still feel like it is damn small for the price because you do need a few coats of it to get all your hard to remove lip products off. I don’t wear long-wearing lipsticks often so the size isn’t too big an issue for me. But if it’s your lip medium of choice and you’re looking for a product that will remove it daily well, you’ll probably go through this little stick fast.

So, how’s it work? Easy! Swipe it over your lipstick, I had to build about two layers the first time out, and wipe off. That’s it! It has a nice easy glide formula that doesn’t have any flavor or fragrance. The first two passes and wipe off worked great at getting about 85% of my lip color off but I needed a third past and wipe off to remove the rest. It isn’t a moisturizing formula but it isn’t a drying one either and it just makes life so much easier if you want to touch up long-wearing lipstick that might have gone flaky, dry, or patchy throughout the day.

It’s perfectly portable and quite handy for touch ups on the go. I just wish it was a smidge cheaper or at the least a big bigger for the price.

Maybelline Super Stay Eraser Lip Color Remover is available now at amazon.com and ulta.com.

I’m going to check this out. I use Chapstick all the time to remove long-wearing lipstick. I was trying to end my addiction to Chapstick but then I changed my mind! 🙂

Muse, I can’t say for sure but I thought Maybe line used to have a product like this before in a white tube part of the superstay collection maybe?

I use the lip scrub from Bath & Body Works to get off some of the lip color but it’s not as efficient as I would like. Too Faced Liquid Lip is especially difficult to get off for some reason.

You could be right?! I don’t remember it in all honesty but I don’t doubt maybe they did have it before!!!!!!!! This is why I hate long wearing lipstick 🙁 It’s such a pain to remove!
