Stila In a Firenze Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow Review & Swatches
Stila In a Firenze Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyehadow ($24) is a new and I believe limited edition shade that might be exclusive to Sephora which has popped in and out of stock the past two weeks. I was finally able to snag it last week and it is now available again on Sephora’s site!
As a fan of the Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow formula I was rather excited to get my hands on In a Firenze especially since Kat Von D Lolita Eyeshadow & Blush released around the same time and the two shades compliment each other beautifully! I’ve taken to wearing In a Firenze all over my lid and adding a little depth to my look by blending Lolita at the outer corner of my eye. It’s really a perfect combo! The shades are quite similar but the finishes are vastly different and the smooth matte of Lolita adds a little richness to the sparkle of In a Firenze.
Let’s take a look!
Stila Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyeshadow are a liquid glitter eyeshadow that launched for Spring 2017 but have since become so popular that the brand has been releasing new shades for not only Summer 2017 but also adding other permanent shades to the line.
I think these eyeshadows are some of the best that Stila has produced in a long, long time. It’s an excellent formulated eyeshadow formula that’s easy to work with, easy to apply, not to mention they look amazing and should you like they pair up beautifully with powder eyeshadows.
The texture is a chunky pearl and glittery formula with a lightweight feel that applies and blends easily. I expected a mess when I originally tried them but was very impressed with the ease of use and the blending process. Although chunky I didn’t experience fall out during or after the application and the formula didn’t set too quickly so I had plenty of time to blend. There was also no sticky or tacky mess after the dry down and color remains perfect on my drier lids without creasing, migrating, or flaking up. The glitter never fell on my cheeks or face during the application nor after the shadow set.
No doubt these are a glitter eyeshadow. They contain loads and loads of glitter so, if you hate sparkle do avoid! But if you love it, well, head right in and enjoy! These are beautiful for an evening out and they aren’t a formula that accentuates drier or aging eyes. For me they are a total do-able glitter that will look great on most anyone. E
In a Firenze is described as a dusky rose but I thought it came across a warmer dusky cranberry with fine golden glitter. It’s actually quite a pigmented shade so, it isn’t a bunch of glitter with no color! You get a nice color payoff here and not all chunky glitter. It’s a beautiful shade and I’m looking forward to using it in Fall looks.
Needless to say I don’t regret the purchase! Stila In a Firenze Magnificent Metals Glitter & Glow Liquid Eyehadow is available now at Sephora.com!
Do purchase it when it does pop back up!
