About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. They really should come out with a different term other than Limited Edition, because that term (from what I understand from the world of actual collectables and fine art) means that only a certain number will ever be produced.

I think that there still should be some truth in their terminology even though I’m not really one to get butthurt about LEs when it comes to makeup; I do appreciate that popular items might eventually come back, or even be made a part of the permanent line. I actually prefer to buy permanent stuff because sometimes I am hesitant to use the LEs that I do have and love because I know I can’t just run out to Sephora and replenish it should it run out. It’s kinda irrational I know.

I might get the tarte blush palette if it comes back here. I do like the color wheel I got last holiday season from them.

lol amen sis! They term LE is too loosely thrown around!

I think in *some* cases, there are some products that don’t “fly” off shelves as fast as anticipated, but instead of keeping them around until they sell, the items left in the warehouse never get put on shelves.

I can’t speak for all of these, but I bought Serpentina well after a month of its release, and several stores had them after that. With all KvD Beauty has released since then, and have planned, I hardly believe more of these palettes were actually manufactured; these were likely just found left over in a warehouse…
“LE” was a term coined by Ester Lauder to drive hype/sales, but with so many brands now, all releasing at the same time, someone needs to come up with a new strategy…

The serpentine palette, really? Why bring back a general disappointment, when some missed and are aching for pastel goth? That must be returning for xmas. Better check your review on the Tarte. Got 3 rots color splash lipsticks: verrry nice. Been off Tarte for a while. And used the hell out of that Ciate palette. I think it has been available on their dedicated site since release. Good tips. It does bring up that better haul this now vs. nah, it’ll be back feeling we have been getting so often of late!

The Ciate London /Chloe Palette is back but not with the bag and extra’s. It is just for the palette itself. Just in case you didn’t know that. I had read that Ciate did the palette as a stand alone item a few months ago.
    Thanks for the head’s up!!
