Flowerbomb Twist Layering Perfume Oils

Flowerbomb Twist Oil is a new way to wear the original Flowerbomb perfume. Available in Rose, Musk, and Jasmine each Twist Perfume Oil can be applied under your favorite perfume (or under Flowerbomb perfume) to create a new and exciting scent. Remember a few months ago when Replica introduced their Filter fragrances? Same concept here!

I probably told you this story but at the risk of being like my dad and telling the same story over and over and over again….

I was in restaurant once and a waitress kept passing by and she smelled amazing. After finishing up dinner I had to walk over to her and ask what she was wearing. She told me, “I’m so sorry! I don’t know! I mix a bunch of different fragrances!” If she could have shared the recipe of the cocktail of scents she was wearing I’d have written it down! Whatever she mixed she mixed it well. Needless to say it’s made me experiment with layering scents. Keep in mind layering is a fine art and can go very wrong which can result in you coming out of the experience smelling rancid. It’s not an easy trick but once you master which scents work with each other it becomes an addicting habit to try to create different unique fragrances by combining a number of different scents. I was told at the Tom Ford counter to try mixing Velvet Orchid with YSL Black Optimum and my mind was blown.

On that note, let’s chat these layering scents from Viktor & Rolf.

I have a love hate relationship with Flowerbomb. It can be overpowering but when I’m a certain mood a little spritz puts me in a dark cotton candy haze. It can be addicting and terrifying to wear. I’m hoping these new Twist Oils will perhaps make it even more easier to wear. Granted you don’t have to use them with Flowerbomb only! I imagine you can layer them with any other perfume you own as well but starting at the source might be a good way to go.

Flowerbomb Musk Twist is a warm, spicy, sweet gourmand that enhances Flowerbomb with layers of musky sensuality and warmth. Flowerbomb Rose Twist is a classic floral note that boosts the rose notes in Flowerbomb. I suspect this will also lighten up the dark notes in Flowerbomb! Flowerbomb Jasmine Twist adds a powdery floral note which gives Flowerbomb a more uplifting lighter feel.

The Flowerbomb Twist Collection is available now at Sephora.com.

I’m terribly guilty of wanting all three of these!

Anyone try them yet?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. People always ask me what I’m wearing, and I’m like well it’s four different things. I don’t think they believe me. Tom Ford White Patchouli, Bobbi Brown Beach, Fresh Cannabis Santal, and Scent of Samadhi Indian powdered deodorant (it’s quite strong). And the way I layer them is probably crazy. Tom Ford on the neck, Beach on the collarbones, Fresh in the stomach area, and the deodorant, well where deodorant goes (although I use an anti-perspirant first).

      Hi Lauren,

Do you know where I could get samples of these to try?

  • Kimmwc03

I’m not a fan of Flowerbomb (find it too overwhelming) but I’m curious to try the Rose one, and maybe the Jasmine one too.

  • Janalene

  • Lauren O’Leary

    Hello,
