Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Everything Launches

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

The Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Colllection has arrived at Sephora with a gorgeous MatteTrace Everything Kit that will break your bank account in half. There’s also an entire range of MatteTrance Lipstick shades launching for Fall as well as Mattetrance Trio Sets but as of now you’ll have to shell out the big bucks to get your hands on this new formula and that comes in the form of $275!

Gulp!

The Pat McGrath Labs MatteTrance Everything Kit ($275) includes nine of Pat’s new lipstick formula, Mattetrane. This is a lightweight, pigmented lipstick formula with a matte finish that apparently has a hydrating texture that’s super creamy. The lipsticks are formulated with a blend of polymers to give them a flexible texture that moves with your lips and allows comfortable and smooth coverage.

Each lipstick comes housed in a black-lacquered barrel with a golden 3D lip emblem on the front and the gift set comes in an elegant black box with gold labeling.

You’ll get nine full-size shades (0.14 each) in the following colors:

  • Omni (mid-tone rose)
  • 1995 (warm light nude)
  • Flesh 3 (brown rose)
  • Elson (blue red)
  • Full Panic (bright fuchsia)
  • Obsessed (bright orange red)
  • McMenamy (deep burgundy)
  • Deep Void (deep blackened purple)
  • Antidote (magenta violet)

These nine shades will be available later this month for $38 each at Sephora.com and also in Lust MatteTrance Trio Sets for $95 each (includes three full-size shades each) that will also be available at Sephora.com.

I have Flesh (as seen in the image above) on my wish list.

What about you?

Will you be indulging in these?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

Frankly I think Pat McGrath gets way more pub than she deserves. There are many better makeup artists out there besides her. Her products are over priced and nothing special.

I’ve not bought a single product of hers, but she nails the packaging! The lipstick with the little lips on them? Adorable.

I agree that her products tend to be overpriced; however I definitely don’t agree that there are lots of MUA’s in her class; talent, conception, quality and color payoff-wise. I purchased Dark Start 006 – Dark Matter and was pleased, as it introduced me to a different technique in eyeshadow application (wet gloss and high fine sparkle effect). That said, with some research and knowledge of products worldwide, you definitely can achieve similar effects without paying as much. And that can be said of MANY companies and artists, like Tom Ford, La Mer, etc. But I pay for consistency of quality, originality, and color selection and pigmentation (and even sometimes just to invest in a new venture), when I can afford to. I hope to purchase Omni (as it sold out during pre-sale). Will look forward to Isabelle’s and others review first though.

I put my order in for the full set, now I am just waiting for them to deliver it. I hope they are nice for that price!
