Here’s What the Physicians Formula 80th Anniversary Collection Looks Like!

Last week I was talking to you about the Physicians Formula 80th Anniversary Collection that will be launching in stores shortly. Physicians Formula has been busy on social media giving us little sneak peeks of the collection and it looks quite lovely. When I saw some of the images I was pretty amazed that the brand was 80 years old! Who knew!? It seems like a relatively new-ish brand and I was thinking anywhere in the realms of 80! I was thinking along the lines of a mid-1980 launch or something. But nope, the brand is nearly 100 years old and to celebrate they are launching some new lipsticks, eyeshadow quads, and other goodies.

The line was created by Dr. Frank Crandall who was an allergist. His wife suffered from luus and longed for a line of cosmetics that wouldn’t aggravate her sensitive skin. That was how the brand was born.

Today, they officially launched the collection to buy on their site. I haven’t seen the collection in stores yet myself so, if you want to grab the collection early you can order it directly from their site. If you have a friend who is equally interested in the collection you can snag 50% Off your order if she or he happens to order it. Read up on that by clicking here!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Ooo….. I don’t do metallic type shadows, but I may make an exception for these… DANG those are pretty. And the lippies look gorgeous too – and the foundation? Is that a powder or a cream type foundation? I think Le Velvet came both ways…

Imma keep my eyes peeled (ouch!) for this in stores!! I haven’t really been interested in DS releases in a long time, but this one has my interest!

I *think* I ordered some pieces (two lipsticks and Le Velvet); their website wasn’t cooperating and I thought screw it, if it shows up, great.

What’s with making it limited edition, I wonder? The new (or re-released) products look better than most of their present line. I love the Butter Bronzer and Blusher, but man alive, that packaging… ick.

  • Silvia

I’m loving everything especially the eyeshadows and lipsticks yeah!
Muse, I’m not receiving on my regular email your notifications. Waited since last time you wrote to see if they would start coming in some how but nothing. How weird?
I found this one looking for them through I believe my junk or irctrash fokders. I did subscribed in fb page but do not follow it as much as in my emails. .

add me to your contacts/address book in email. That might help!? Or make sure it isn’t going to spam and un-mark it as spam! Hope this helps!

    lipsticks look interesting
throwback to calling lipsticks red or nude etc

I also had no idea the brand was that old, or had been around that long….that sounds better.
LMK if you spot it at Harmon please

    • Lori

Speaking of Harmon’s…I’ll have to check out my local Bed, Bath & Beyond and Christmas Tree Shop soon! I hope one or the other has this!!

      • Isabella Muse

Give me a heads up if they have it! I checked but nothing here!

  • Eraser

Doesn’t the eyeshadow package remind you of some Japanese brands?

I’m liking the shadows & lipstick, but I’m trying to wait and see if it shows up in the stores soon.

  • Lynette

Ooh some of these items seem really nice. But… you’d think that after 80 years, the brand would get the hint to make shades that are inclusive of darker skin tones but … I guess not .. I’ve actually left comments on their Instagram asking about the lack of shades and have never received a reply. So it makes it hard for me to want to support the brand. 1

Hi, first time poster here. I’m hoping to see a review from you. I really like reading a lot of your feedback on beauty items. I tried ordering 5 items from this collection (both eyeshadows, two lipsticks, and the highlight), and not only did they charge my card 4 times (which I had to cancel), but then they basically told me it’s my bank’s fault that my card doesn’t work on theit website (they are literally the only ones). Hopefully your reviews can tell me if I need to try again, or if I can let it go.

Hi Hollie! Welcome thanks for commenting 🙂 I’ll def have a review live shortly. Sorry to hear about the trouble with their ordering process, that sucks 🙁 I’ll try to get my post up shortly! xoxo!
