Why Don’t You Start a Sephora 20% Off Wish List Now To Save Money Later!

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

This morning I came across the new Juliette Has a Gun Sunny Side Up Perfume and my first instinct was to pop it into my cart and buy it. The large bottle is $135 but I didn’t mind the price so much considering my great success with many of the scents from the house like Mmmm.

But I gave pause for a second and realized in a few short weeks the annual Sephora VIB 20% Off Event will take place. Last year, the even started in November and really that isn’t too long a time to wait to get 20% off a $135 bottle of fragrance. That’s quite a savings.

So, why don’t you start a Sephora 20% Off Wish List now so you can save money later.

Every single listing on Sephora.com has a tiny heart next to it which when clicked will save the item to your virtual Loves List. Granted you can add items to your cart but sometimes they can disappear. It’s better to click that little heart (see the above video) and later on you can easily add the item to your cart from your list which can be accessed by hoovering over your name at the top of the Sephora toolbar and allowing the drop down menu to pull down. The third option down after Beauty Insider you’ll see “Lists”, click it, and you’ll be magically transported to all the items you currently want to buy.

Now the real challenge is sticking to your guns and not giving into your need for instant gratification. You remind yourself, “November 4th I can get this at 20% Off” or “Do I really need this right now?” Or go ahead, put it in your cart, but don’t click submit right away! Wait a few hours, come back to it, and I bet you won’t feel the overwhelming need to click submit as soon as you did when you first saw the item.

Good Luck resisting 🙂

Remember, in a few short weeks, 20% Off! YAY!

What will you be getting?

Did you already start a wish list?

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. So funny that you posted this, last night I started my cart for the 20% off sale! So far I have $230 in it, and I’m sure it will grow by November!

You can totally “love” an item on Ulta’s site. I do it all the time. I always have s running list of items on it and you can just pop the item in your cart just like Sephora.

You don’t need the ULTA app to create a Favorites list, it’s just easier than doing it from a browser. I’m currently sitting on 2500 points ($143), waiting for the holiday collections and the next 20% off coupon!

Log in to your account. Click on the heart next to the product description. Then you can view the list under favorites.

I can’t believe I’m just now seeing this thanks!

When you’re looking at an item on Ulta’s web site, underneath the “quantity” drop-down, there’s a little heart and it says “Add to Favorites.” As long as you’re signed in, you can add to that list, and it’ll save the items under your account “Favorites.” Have fun!

THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!! OMG how did I not know this haha!

Actually, I start a new list whenever the sale ends, in anticipation of the next spring or fall. Mental list. Haven’t used the faves heart since the new version of S’s website. For iPad, might as well be 3.gack. I’ll watch your video, bec the favorites list always baffled me a little. Main bafflement was how to REMOVE the heart/favorite, since the item usually got there via big finger syndrome, that is I didn’t mean to favorite it, just brushed it accidentally. I’m such a dolt. I do this mental list in anticipation of most quasi-regular sales, like muse.com for Viseart, etc. a bit of planning and organizing can save you a shitton of $, esp if you are overstashed, and don’t need things immediately, like you do, for review purposes. I note the .com exclusives for their f&fs, esp Nars, UD, etc. In these days of various retailers having certain specific shades, it’s a must, if you want to save, yet have all you want. Greed tempered is the name of the game! I only succumb to sale items, and likely to be discontinued/LE items between the sales.

I keep a list in my phone, as well as loves on the sephora website/app. That way if i see them somewhere other than Sephora I can more easily remember what I need.

For whatever reason, right now my list is more things that are Ulta, or Chanel and Charlotte Tilbury than things I can get at Sephora. I think for the sale, I do want to get a new bottle of Good Genes, and a few UD single eyeshadows I realized would make me really happy (I need fireball desperately!)

I did make a purchase today because it kept selling out. I bought MUFE Chromatic foundation mixers, I bought both versions (water and oil) in white. It’s sold out the last three times I’ve placed it in my basket. Finally today I snagged them!!! I have a few foundations that I love for,Ulta wise, but don’t match my skin tone. Hoping these will do the trick!!

One year, I tried to limit my reoccurring purchases to the sales and I tried to anticipate bath & body items and bought what I thought was a 6 month supply during the sale. I overestimated and 2 years later I’m still working through the stuff I bought! :-/

I love Mmmm, but never wanted to lay out the benny to pay for it LOL
great idea about the 20% off wish list.

  • Jenn

I am looking forward to that 20% off code! I think I will be getting the Dior diorflash foundation and the Dior lip balm. Those two are my favorites but I can never bite the bullet and buy without a discount!

I’ve started planning on part of the ongoing items. For the limited editions, I might just snap them up right away, as they could sell out before the sale. Additionally, there are always long queues during the events and the transit time for shipping seems to be increased around the holiday season.
