Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder ($32) is a new silky matte finish peach-tinted setting powder that launched with the new Too Faced Peaches and Cream Collection late last week. I know what you’re thinking, “But you always say you don’t use setting powder!”

Too true my friends, too true! But how could I resist a setting powder that smelled like peaches? Call me crazy but that was a key selling point for me. No joke! Remember scented dolls growing up? Rose Petal comes to mind! She smelled like roses!

Anyway, in reality I rarely use loose powder that often but sometimes I get bit by good marketing.

Here’s my thoughts, review, and swatches of Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder comes housed in a double-lid chunky plastic jar that holds 1.23 oz of powder. The packaging is adorable. The enameled gold lid has a cute peach emblem decorating the front and the jar has a nice weighty feel to it. I truly believe they did a great job with the packaging on the Peaches & Cream Collection and it is vanity worthy. It’s quite cute but also, has a certain expensive look and feel to it as well. This does have a dual lid one of which unscrews and beneath that a lid that snaps up. I found the double lid both useful and annoying. The double lid ensures that you don’t have messy powder everywhere when you open the first lid. However, if you’re one that taps powder into the lid to apply you’ll find the double lid can get in the way of doing this. I found it a little messy to tap the powder into the first lid without the secondary one getting in the way a little. I’m used to just tipping the jar of my powder upside down and allowing it to flow into the lid and proceeding to open it. That’s impossible to do with the secondary lid in place. Tapping it into the lid is doable just a bit awkward. But the double lid also means it’s completely mess free and very easy to travel with so, this packaging has many benefits.

Too Faced markets this as a lightweight loose powder wwith a peach tint that brightens skin and has a comfortable 12 hour matte finish. They also recommend it as perfect for baking under eyes. This is a talc-based powder that doesn’t contain silica. The talc works in favor of the texture as it isn’t slippery as silica and it feels very soft, silky, and finely milled. As promised it smells like yummy peaches and can be smelled during the application but doesn’t linger during the wear.

I thought the consistency was beautiful on the powder. It’s soft, silky, and blends easily on my drier skin. It also reduced shine on my forehead very easily without clinging to the drier areas around my face. The finish was very smooth. The shade is indeed a soft beige peach but it applies translucent but as with many translucent powders you have to be careful not to overdue it as it can look pasty and chalky. A light dusting is plenty to set my foundation and keep the minor shine I have on my forehead at pay. The matte finish is indeed comfortably lightweight and doesn’t look or feel dry. I have my doubts it’ll keep oil at bay for 14 hours. My shiny forehead got about five hours in before it started to look a bit oily again.

Too Faced Peach Perfect Mattifying Setting Powder is definitely worth a haul if you use setting powder often and don’t mind the talc-based formula. It’s soft, silky, easy to blend, and easy to wear for all skin types.

Love it.

I got the Blurring powder, foundation and pretty good sized sample of the primer at Sephora over the weekend and have been using them for the last few days, and have to say I am really loving all 3 so far. I definitely want to try this powder next. I’m a greasy girl so setting powders are my best friend, especially with the crazy weather we’re having in San Jose. I felt this in the store and it does feel really luxurious. This might be the first thing on my Sephora Wish List 😀

Girl… let me tell you, I have lived in San Jose most of my life, we get warm in the summer, we all b***h about it, but it doesn’t usually last or get higher than 101 at the hottest… We had 116* in south parts of SJ. 116! The heat literally choked you if you went out in it. I’m sure you’ve felt this kind of heat in NY too. It got over 100 in San Francisco which is pretty much unheard of… I’m READY for Fall LOL

Honestly, I’m bred, born, and raised here and I think the most I ever seen it get is 101 but never 116!!!!!!!!!!!!! Like once in my life it was 101 degrees! It might feel higher due to humidity but 116? Nevahs! 😀

This looks totally usable. Peach, for lighter skintones, is pretty universal. But being a Paula’s girl, not really into the fragranced aspect. Haven’t done tf since the onset of their scented themes. The good news is they got rid of the saccharine, which is a step in the right direction. Talk about something not needed in m/u, to which many are allergic. Actually , I really like the looks of many products in this collection, but my skin is reactive, and this peach collection would be a bad idea for me. Think the take away is know thyself. Many people can use this easily and love it. What a world of ymmv.

I just ordered this & can’t wait to get it!!! I stopped at Sephora to check this line out and fell in love with it!! The lady at Sephora gave me a sample of the foundation since they didn’t have my shade in stock. I just tried it today & love it!!! I get oily in the tzone so we will see how this holds up. It smells wonderful too! When I ordered this, the foundation, and setting spray Sephora had a deluxe size free of the peach primer!!! That’s a lot of products I’m getting! I also paid the extra $10 for 2 day shipping which i guess I can use it on other orders too!!!!! Did you get anything else from this collection?

that’s great news I’m glad you love it. You can indeed get free shipping on orders all through the year with your $10 subscription! It’s called Flash Shipping 🙂 Yup, I got the blur powder, foundation, lipstick, eyeshadow palette, face mist, and primer 😀

Wow also got a lot from this collection! Will you be doing reviews on those products also? Sephora only had a few lipsticks out to try so I didn’t even look at those. I was debating on the blur powder but ended up getting this powder instead. I haven’t been this excited about Too Faced products since last years holiday collection!

As I am old enough to remember bad beige pink foundations and powders, I get flashing warning signs when I see this. (I trust your review and have no doubt it’s great – just my first thought is, “oh god Cover Girl mask face!”)

Seeing a peachy powder makes me miss Benefit’s Georgia. Definitely going to try this.
