Fenty Beauty Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer Review & Swatches
Fenty Beauty Universal Gloss Bomb Lip Luminizer ($18) is a new shiny lipgloss in a universal rose shade that launched with Rhianna’s new Fenty Beauty Makeup Collection at Sephora. I was a little underwhelmed with the Fenty Beauty Collection as I was hoping for more color and less contouring but this gloss quickly caught my eye as a must have as I was hoping for the perfect nude, shiny lip look from it and it didn’t fail at delivering just that.
Let’s take a look at my review and swatches below!
If Rhianna should decide to release a few more shades in this formula I’ll be first in line to grab them up. This is a delightful lipgloss with a comfortable wear and a high-shine finish. $18 bucks gets you 0.30 oz of gloss that comes housed in an elegant octagon shaped barrel with a metallic light pink topper and an extra larger lip applicator that we’ve seen the likes of from MAC Wonder Woman Lipglasses, Milani Moisture Lock Oil Infused Lip Treatment, NYC New York Color Cosmetics Big Bold Gloss, and Hard Candy Glossaholic Lip Gloss. This applicator is three times the size of a normal lipgloss one and saturates well with color allowing easy application on lips.
The formula is loaded up with shea butter which is fairly obviously considering it’s quite moisturizing. The texture is thicker but loose and easy to spread across lips without being sticky or tacky. It feels very plush on lips with a hydrating consistency that wore comfortable on my drier lips for three hours without migrating. Application was even and the color didn’t fall into my natural lip line. It’s suppose to have a peach vanilla scent but it tasted like an upscale bubblegum to me which was quite pleasant with a sweet, fruity, vibe.
The color is gorgeous but I wish it was a touch more pigmented. It’s a rosy coppery brownish peach with fine gold shimmer that wasn’t gritty nor did it leave behind shimmer flecks once it wore away. It has a very high, shine finish and color will show more on someone with less pigmented lips than my own but builds easily for more color pay off. Another words, it isn’t completely invisible, there’s pigment here, but it is less noticeable on pigmented lips and will enhance your natural lip color versus add color to it.
It was created to use alone or with your favorite lipstick. I purchased two solely for this reason as I wanted one that I could use on my bare lips and one I could use with my favorite nude lipsticks. It really adds pop to my nude lipsticks which makes me glad I purchased a back up.
Overall, the quality is super on this gloss! It’s shiny, comfortable to wear, and looks gorgeous on my lips. As I said, I’d buy more if she released other shades.
Well worth a pick up!
