My Picks from the Estee Lauder Victoria Beckham Collection

Estee Lauder and Victoria Beckham team up once again to release a selection of Fall 2017 makeup that Victoria helped create. Last year, the collection sold out in the blink of an eye but this year it appears they have plenty of stock to go around for those of wanting a chance to try it.

Like Victoria, this collection is all about effortless, elegant beauty. I like a lot of the collection because it isn’t an overwhelming one and it contains some basic products that can easily transform your eyes and face without a lot of know how. The beauty world is filled with an endless array of massive eyeshadow palettes lately as well as many “cutesy” releases from brands like Too Faced. Not that I don’t love cute in my beauty but sometimes it can be a bit too much.

Victoria’s collection pretty much takes us back to the basics with a good core collection of products that will enhance and accentuate eyes, lips, and face.

Here are some items I plan on picking up!

The Victoria Beckham Eye Matte Duo in Noir/Vanille is on my list. I know, I know, a traditional smoky eye isn’t one I’ve done in a very long time. I always feel like a black smoky eye accentuates my tired eyes. But I love the idea of a simple duo of shades that can get me the look easily. I see people on youTube creating a smoky eye with like 10 shades and I can’t even begin to see myself replicating that. This simple duo contains the two shades you’ll need to create the look without a ton of effort. Pile on the mascara after and you’ll be ready for an evening out me thinks!

I don’t love matte lipsticks but this Victoria Beckham Matte Lipstick Black Cassis is such a dramatic, bold blackened berry wine. It’s such an ideal Fall shade!

As we all know Victoria’s signature lip look is almost always nude! This Victoria Beckham Lipgloss will help to get that look and pairs up great with a smoky eye!

On the very top of my list is the Victoria Beckham Eye Metals in Bitter Clove. This is the perfect taupe for my brown eyes!

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Bitter Clove, and possibly the nude lipstick,, but… what the heck happened to the prices? They were high to begin with, and now they’re higher! >: |

Yeah, they raised them a lot this year! They were expensive to begin with but even more so this year!

When I was in my 20’s, 30’s and 40’s — I adored Estee Lauder. I used to get pissed off when someone would say “it’s for old ladies”. Now, in my 50’s — I can’t stand Estee Lauder. It’s so boring……… YAWN. And for old ladies. ROFL

I ordered the cheek creme, the matte lipstick in Burnished Rose and I couldn’t help myself, I had to order a 2nd backup of the lipliner. I adore it!! It also looks really good with the lipstick from the 1st collection, Brazilian Nude

I wouldn’t waste my money on this year’s EL/VB collection as it is so, so bad……that’s why there is so much stock around. Epic fails on all the eye shadows I’ve looked at. I am pretty sure Muse that you would have those vanilla/black shades in lots of your palettes.
The Bitter Clover shade, which is totally stunning, is from last year’s collection and it is highly pigmented, although ABH has some very similar shades for a much lesser price.
