Finally! The Too Faced Clover Eyeshadow Palette Arrives

After much waiting the Too Faced Clover Eyeshadow Palette launched today at toofaced.com. According to launch details the palette is exclusive to their website (I’m somehow not convinced that is true) and contains 18 brand new matte and shimmer shades as well as a how to get the look guide. They are donating $250,000 from sales of the palette to Best Friends Animal Society!

Of you want it, I highly suggest grabbing it as it’ll likely disappear in a few hours!

    A little too young and cutesy for me! Reminds me of the Totally Cool palette which I’ve been seeing all over Nordstrom Rack for the past couple months. Not too excited about the colors here either.

      I totally agree, maybe I am missing something here but I feel this is not marketed to adults. I am 3#, lol, and enjoy makeup but this looks too cutesy. I am sure the shades are lovely, and to be honest, I don’t even know what Clover is?? I love the idea of donating to animals, but I don’t care for the container, do I sound like a naggy old lady?

        Clover is Jerrod’s dog, and mascot for too faced. As far as i’m Concerned, the only worthy creature in the co. I’d rather give the $ direct to Best Friends. Don’t even get me started on tf. Good news is, they are easy to ignore, bec of likely suckworthiness, overscent, and generally overdone kawaii attempts.

    No way I’m buying anything from TF without swatches and impartial reviews. Their quality has tanked in the last year or so.

      I say that to myself, but I always cave! I like the fact that money will be donated to a worthy cause, my best friend was at a no kill animal shelter and thank goodness I rescued him. I do agree that the quality has not been there for awhile, but hopefully Jarrod will do this palette right. I can always send it back, but I never do, lol. The peach palette was such a letdown, Totally cute had pretty colors, but hard to blend. Hope this one hits it out of the doghouse!

      This palette is actually pretty good. And I have many high end palettes. But if you don’t like the colors you won’t like it.

    Palette is $49 and you get free shipping with $50 and over. No thanks. Do not want to pay extra for shipping. Plus colors look similar to previous TF palettes.

    It is wonderful to learn that Too Faced is donating to Best Friends Animal Society. Best Friends is the rescue group that is caring for, and will eventually find homes, for all the animals left behind in the floods from Hurricane Harvey in the Southeast Texas area. Thank you for this info, Muse! Thank you Too Faced for your kind generosity!

    TF shadows work well for me (I have oily lids and the TF palettes I have – Sweet Peach, PB&J, Neutral Mattes, Funfetti and even the much hated Matte Chocolate Chip – and the Colourpop SSS tend to be the best for long wear for me – most other formulations slide/wear off after 5-6 hours even with primers ) and while this is kind of an odd assortment of shades, I can see a lot of them slotting in perfectly with other shades I already own…so I think I’ll definitely be buying this, lol. Plus I’m still into cutesy shit lmao

    I’m still trying to resist that Matter Peach palette, though… I know I don’t need it because I bought the Moschino shopping bag palette and there’s a ton of clear overlap with that and some of my Colourpop SSS + She palette but ugh I’ve loved everything else I’ve tried in the Peaches and Cream release and Sweet Peach is still my most used palette….

    Ok guys! We all NEED this one! This is a good one ( Best Friends )….So if you’re an animal welfare advocate, sitting on the fence about this palette, you can justify the purchase & enjoy it guilt free!
    I have a very extensive background & experience in rescue. I’ve been an active participant with a vast number of local small rescues as well as with large, respected international organizations. I’ve experienced some ugly truths that have rendered me cynical & suspicious
    ( hidden agendas, financial misappropriation, etc ). However, in my experience, I would have to say that Best Friends is awesome! In fact this is my favourite large scale, animal welfare organization!
    Seriously!, to the best of my knowledge money goes exactly where it should, they’re proactive & get personally & physically involved in true rescue efforts. For example, in my own personal experience, following Hurricane Katrina, they contacted me via Petfinder.com. They would transport displaced dogs ( I’m in Canada ), all expenses paid, including standard routine veterinary care, ( spays, neuters, vaccinations, parasite eradication etc ), intervention on chronic medical issues, as well as any treatment of illnesses or injuries as a result of the hurricane, ( they would not transport an animal unless medically stable ).
    Basically, they get down to the brass tacks & just do what needs to be done!!!! No high salaried, pencil pushing, paper shuffling executive decision making to detract from the issue at hand! Genuine & effective, Best Friends gets the job done!
    It’s fantastic that Too Faced is supportive & will bring attention to Best Friends. My only issue with the “Clover ” palette is that in the grand scheme $ 250,000 is not a large sum … I’d prefer that ALL PROFITS from sales go directly to Best Friends!

      I think it is cute, I’m skeptical about the quality, I like the packaging, but I purchased it mainly because it was sauce a good cause 🙂 Best Friends is indeed an awesome charity, I couldn’t agree more 🙂 And you’re right there are a lot of ugly truths when it comes to orgs and you have to be careful where you donate because the end game isn’t always helping what you think it might be. Best Friends has a wonderful foster program and also, fantastic adoption opportunities. If anyone is in New York they have a location in Soho that is incredible to visit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With a HOST of fantastic information. Thanks Jodi for all your great info and know that I am in full agreement 😀 If anyone hates the palette, I get it, but you can also donate directly to Best Friends should you like ;-D

        I’m with you Muse. I do think its cute. I like the packaging and at 42 years of age I’m not shy to admit it. I also jumped the gun more so because of the cause. Despite the fact that it is inevitable that donating has its evil side I always look at it this way….when I donate or give money to an organization or to someone who is homeless or in need whether that money is used for good my INTENTIONS are good and I have to walk away believing that maybe just maybe it makes its way somehow to what it was intended for. To say I won’t give or support a cause just because there are bad apples out there just doesn’t sit well with me. I give and support because in the end it makes me feel good. I aint gonna lie though I really hope this palette does perform.

          Lizzie, no truer statement was made. You def have to feel good about donating and hope that it helps at least a LITTLE bit or makes a TINY bit of a difference. Even a tiny bit makes it all worth it 🙂 <3!!! And yes, I'm hoping for good quality too!

      Thank you for all you do. I adopted a 7 y.o. Puppy mill mother dachshund…talk about an insane sex slavery life, in March. She just had >10,000$ worth of back surgery that fortunately I could access from my meagre retirement acct. Please send her your good karma as she recovers. At least she had 6 months of super life, before 15 seconds that changed my life.

    The palette is so cute and I like the colors, but I’m not sure of the quality and if it’s worth getting on release. Too faced has too many hits and misses for my taste. I might wait for a review but it’s definitely tempting to buy rn! I wish they released the makeup bag at the same time for early access cause I’d much rather buy that instead. Maybe for the official release they would lol

    When I saw this posting, my knee-jerk reaction was to go to TF’s site to order. But then reason set in (yes, that happens now and then). I hate the cutesy packaging. I don’t have much faith in TF products. Perhaps seeing swatches or reading positive reviews will change my mind, but I can wait on this one.

    However, kudos to TF for the donation to Best Friend’s . It hits close to home for me because I am such an animal lover, I had been involved for years with animal rights causes (but had to stop because I saw some truly terrible things that made it really difficult to cope with being around humans), and I work for wildlife conservation.

    ARGH! Sold out before I could nab it. I think the limited (early) release is exclusive to toofaced.com, and then there may be a wider release? At least that’s the impression I got. So excited to see your swatches, I love these colors!

    Good news that Too Faced are donating money to a very worthy charity and it would help if more beauty brands did the same thing.
    However, this palette does not appeal to me as there are so many shades that would not work for me. Also, TF has not enjoyed a stellar reputation for the eyeshadow palettes for quite awhile now.

    I have wanted this palette since I saw the pics, I think the colors are really good actually. I ordered it and when it arrives I will sure post what I think of it. I am a huge dog lover, so it was an easy choice for me. The packaging is cute, I am sure it will appeal to young and old. Money going to a good cause, so what the heck. I too have been disappointed in some of their palettes in the last year or so. When the re launch of peach I jumped on it, only to be so disappointed in it. So, hopefully this will be better

      I didn’t see it to be honest. The only pouch I know of was the clover one that was launched with the Kat Von D collaboration. If I hear anything will update 😀

    I LOVE Best Friends! I was an intern at the sanctuary 10 years ago (where has the time gone?!) and it was seriously a piece of animal lover’s paradise. Such a great org!
