Bath & Body Works App and New Rewards Program

Bath & Body Works has an app and a new rewards program too! Sadly, the My Bath & Body Works App is currently in beta and the test markets are LA and Chicago! Lucky you if you live in either city. I’m in New York and no go for me but I downloaded the app and signed up to be alerted when it is available in my area as it is attached to the new Bath & Body Rewards Program which I’m curious about.

Here’s all the details.

So, the new app is pretty awesome in the coupon department. I saw some of my favorite candle Instagrammers talking about how they got a BOGO 2 and Get 1 Free coupon which they used on candle holders. Sweet! Apparently the app allows you to earn free products (up to $16.50) but no word how much you have to spend to get the reward. There’s also a Birthday Reward and also, access to exclusive content and rewards.

The app also keeps track of your coupons with a wallet and shows how much you spent and how much you need to spend before earning your next reward.

Sadly, if you aren’t in the test market you won’t be able to actually get into the app but you can download it, put in your zip code, see if it is available, and if not sign up to be alerted when it will be. Reviews are really bad at the moment but keep in mind this is a beta app so if you are in the test area and can use it there may be some kinks and issues with it.

All in all, I’m excited about the app. I like the idea of the virtual wallet that keeps my coupons handy. I also love the idea of a new rewards program although, I hope it won’t take away from the current coupons they send out.

It seems like a great idea.

I love the idea of this app and rewards but I’m really annoyed they didn’t include NYC as a test market. Grrrrrr.

They might include NYC next! When I first got the app it was actually LA only! Luckily I live in LA. So that fact it spread to Chicago is probably a good sign!

I worked at Bath and Body Works for 2 years, and from what I could tell, once the kinks are worked out, the app/rewards program really will be great. In the meantime, do these things to ensure you get mail coupons and e-mail coupons/announcements. If you haven’t already, do an in-store online customer sign up. This will ask for your name, e-mail, mailing address, phone number, and b’day. If the cashier knows what they’re doing, it’ll only take about a minute.

Everytime you go shop, even if it’s for a little $1.75 pocket bac (hand sanitizer), give them your phone number. It may attach itself to your debit/credit card, but always verify the e-mail, which will pop up on the keypad you use for a card transaction.

Also, if you get the coupons, use them. Even if you’re like, I don’t need anything, take that 20% off coupon and go buy a $5 item. Those coupons have a code that’s attached to your name/address, and if you don’t use them, you won’t get them. In other words, the company keeps track of all that, and if the system sees you’re not using them, then you won’t get them.

    HAPPY SHOPPING!!!

I’m curious to know who your favorite candle instagrammers are that you mention in your post! I recently started getting into BBW candles and I’m obsessed!
