About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. Waiting for Agent Carter (love the woman and wished the show was still going).

  • Stephanie

Wow, this collection looks beautiful! I love Snow White and the Seven Dwarves and would love to have some of these items in my collection.

Thank god I will actually be able to score this. Felt totally left out by the first go round. (Despite having to pay 900$ for the whole year’s car insurance today, bec was neglecting everything, with the dog neurosurgery and aftercare.). Effed, but do what? Snow White is even older than I am, so some of this is real mandatory. Haven’t fallen for any eyes this season. Yay. Checking the email. Yay!
    Ps: Yay!

Ordered. Thanks so very much. 2 red lips (well, duh?), the palette, the big bag for all the Besame, (the cute dog bag that has the rest of the Besame can be relegated to tarte rots lips)and the cream rouge. (Cosrx and Paula have normalized my oily/dehydrated enough to wear cream without it being eaten.). Just when I think i’m slowing down…. seriously, thanks. Don’t always check the mail as I should. Very psyched.

Please review some Bésame Cosmetics products. I’d love to know your thoughts about their products.

  • Rebecca

I thought they were going to be releasing a collection inspired by the television series Agent Carter (RIP). Did that happen and I missed it?

    • Isabella Muse

They did a lipstick shade dunno about an entire collection, hadn’t heard that!

    • Jane

I think I read on twitter that those products are for release next spring, but I’m not sure.

    • Mariele

Yes, I think they are! It was on the main page and in their “newspaper” (when you order something). It’s supposed to come out this Fall, maybe right after the Snow White collection? It was supposed to be November. Might just be a lipstick though. (No hate, though, their lipsticks are perfection)

  • Christina

Hmm, I totally don’t like the colors in the eyeshadow palette, but that’s the prettiest item to me. The pearl powder compact is cute, so that might be something I’ll buy instead. It’s funny, I don’t really like Snow White when I can see her face, but I like her motif and silhouette (like on the book). LOL! I think her eyelashes scare me, really.

    • Christina

I should clarify, the modern drawings of her are fine. It’s the drawings in the original animation that kind of scare me. Eh…maybe I’m just not a fan of the art style. LOL!

  • genevieve

All of those products look absolutely amazing. It would be hard to pick which to choose from.
I have a Besame lipstick and it is beautiful.

  • Mariele

I won’t lie, I was ALL ABOUT this collection because 1. I adore Besame 2. I adore vintage makeup (not costume, real, glamorous vintage!) 3. Snow White is my favorite Disney princess and I like vintage Snow White, not this weird new one that has a jawline and bright colors.

That being said, I am kind of sad because I wanted a little more vintage and a little less Disney. 🙁 I just wanted a nice, wearable eyeshadow palette inspired by vintage 1930s eyeshadow colors, not just the colors they used in the movie, as cool as an idea as that was! It was very inspired. I just wanted a palette of like, ashy browns, dull blues, greyed purples, and sages, like they would have worn back then. And Snow White wore taupe! Evil Queen wore a dull purple! It only seemed fitting.

Still kind of on the fence about a lot of these. The lipsticks are so nice, but literally the only one I could wear and look decent in is Snow White Red. The 7 Dwarves set is adorable, but, again, only one shade I could wear. Need some more classic reds for a collection that’s not only 1930s, but also inspired by someone whose red lips were iconic! White skin, black hair, red lips… not coral. ;(

Needlessly long comment but I’ve been so hyped about this since I first heard about it and now I’m just kind of blah. I got the rouge and the red lipstick, but I definitely could have wanted:
    lightening face powder
    more rouge!
    more red lipsticks!
simple eyeshadow palette of 1930s colors. Like, all of the dull colors in the Storybook palette could have made one really awesome and authentic 1930s eyeshadow palette! All the crazy and bright colors could have been in a separate one! 🙁

P.S. Where are the other two eyeshadow palettes that were supposed to be released? They weren’t on the site. 🙁
