CosRX One Step Moisture Up Pad Review

CosRX One Step Moisture Up Pads are a one step daily dose of hyaluronic acid that quickly replenishes moisture to skin after cleansing and allows for other skincare to absorb more easily. I’ve been using these several months now and have since purchased and repurchased them since I like them so much. I completely embrace my nightly ten step skincare routine and these play an important role in that regimen.

As you may know one of the main steps of any good Korean skincare routine is to get moisture back into your skin as soon as you finish your first step of double-cleansing. No matter what type of cleanser you use chances are it’ll strip a good deal of moisture from your skin. Using a moisturizing toner or even a micellar water can help to restore some of the moisture loss and also, will act as a excellent prep and base for your other skincare.

That’s where these CosRX One Step Moisture Up Pads come into play.

I love these. LOVE them but they do contain lemon peel oil and other fruit oils which could make them a potential issue for sensitive skin. Although, the oils are very lower on the list they are still in fact in this formula so keep that in mind prior to trying them out.

The pads come in a large round jar with Mister CosRX having a relaxing guru moment with these pads. Each jar contains 70 pads and will set you back around $13 to $20.

These are a dual-sided pad that have a raised, embossed side on one side which act to gentle exfoliate skin and a softer, smoother side which can be used to swipe away debris and dead skin cells. The pads are lightly saturated and have almost oily feel to them during the application. No worries they don’t leave skin oily and they absorb right away. At first, I was concerned they weren’t saturated well enough but there appears to be plenty of moisture in each pad and I was able to do my entire face with no issue and any excess I used by swiping down my neck.

So, why do I love them? These make my skin literally glow with life. As soon as I apply them and the solution absorbs my duller complexion lights up. My skin looks dewy, glowing, and quite healthy. Not to mention they restore some of the moisture that was loss during cleansing. I typically swipe them over my face after drying my face and follow up with my other skincare. You’ll notice they allow your other product to absorb a lot more easier as well. And in the morning? My skin looks smooth, bright, and quite happy.

CosRX One Step Moisture Up Pad should be added to your after cleansing routine to keep your skin looking brilliant.

Muse Approved.

Love Cosrx. The Dennis Gross F&R moisturizer has bergamot, which gives me temporary irritation. Citrus stuff can be. These sound super…with slight reservations. Not on Ulta yet, eh?

    • Isabella Muse

Thankfully citrus is ok for me but I’m always concerned why they put it in there also, isn’t citrus a photosensitive ingredient? I use these at night because of that! Naa not on Ulta sadly!

      • Emily

I wish Ulta would carry more of the CosRx line. I hope they will in the future. Why, CosRx, with the citrus oils? Everything else sounds fantastic. I have a dermaE vitamin C serum that I otherwise love, but the “natural fragrance oils” at the very end of the ingredient list really bother my nose, and I worry about what they are doing to my skin.

        • Isabella Muse

I know right!? I don’t mind the scent in all honesty and find it pleasant but I worry that it is damaging my skin!

  • Annie

Maybe I should grab these! My normally oily skin is painfully dry right now and I’m a tad frustrated. I have enjoyed Cosrx in the past and I kinda forgot about them until I read this. Do you use these in place of an essence or before it?

    • Isabella Muse

I actually use them prior to essence! They prep for anything else that comes after so typically I go these after cleansing follow up with essence, serum, face oil, and moisturizer.

I’m in two mums annkɔr where to put facial oil into my routine : as a last step at night after the moisturiser or as the penultimate step, also at night, before the moisturiser. Do you find there to be a difference?

Just bought these and actually got it for their propolis content. Can’t wait to try them.

        • Isabella Muse

If you’re using a retinoids or a retinoid moisturizer you’ll want to apply your moisturizer first, allow it to absorb, and follow up with facial oil.

I’m always looking for an extra hydrating step, so for $14 on amazon, ordered!

I’m currently using the hado labo hyaluronic acid lotion based on your previous review and have had great results. How do you feel this compares? Worth the switch? The propolis extract in the ingredients list is certainly compelling…

    • Isabella Muse

you don’t want to switch from your regular essence! use hado labo but also add this into your routine. Double cleanse, dry your face, swipe with these pads, wait a few minutes, apply your hado labo, follow up with your other items from thick to thin. 🙂

I bought these based on your review and I love, love, LOVE them! Thanks Muse 🙂

I’ve just recently purchased these and I’m wanting to know how often I should use these pads? Every morning and every night, or once a day or once every 2 days etc? I heard they are gentle and can be used as a toner stage but I’m questioning due to the BHA present in this product 🙂 Thank you
