About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Her mission is to bring you super honest reviews on makeup, skincare, fragrance and all things beauty. She’s in no way an expert on the topic and she sure as hell isn’t a super model. But she’s passionate about makeup and is seeking like-minded individuals that like pina coladas, getting caught in the rain, and ones that enjoy spending hundreds of dollars at Sephora without feeling buyer’s remorse. If you’re that person feel free to reach out and leave a comment or follow me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Bloglovin‘.

The collector in me wants it only because I have all the other chocolate bar palettes except the two minis which were awful and I got rid of. Please talk me out of getting this one! Besides, the swatches on Temptalia looked awful, and I truly despise that green. Will you be hauling?

    • Isabella Muse

Don’t do it. Even for the blog I refused to buy it. It’s $50 bucks, you can do a lot more with $50!

      • Susan

Listen to Muse! Think of the 99.99% other things for $50 you could buy that are better. Plus let’s not reward TF for shoving out this junk.

Got an email about their Golden Chocolate palette which looks more interesting than this. But will wait for swatches on that one as well. At least the colors are more coherent on that one than this mish-mash.

Phew! Temptation thwarted. Regrettable purchase avoided. Thank you, my Sista.

My pleasure <3! I didn't bother. I was like hmmm I should get this for the blog and I decided, "Why?! No one wants to see a bunch of chalky swatches!" You can get something way nicer for fifty dollars!

  • Christina D.

Oh believe me, I will have no problem spending that $50 elsewhere! I already have my sights set on the new stack from Melt Cosmetics which, I think, launches this Friday. Besides, I went a bit overboard with the VIB Rouge sale at Sephora (I bought 2 of the 3 Pat McGrath palettes), the Viseart Grande Pro and the new palettes from Ofra that popped up on Ulta. Yes, I have issues. Sigh.

But if the Muse doesn’t think the darn things is even worth hauling for review purposes, passing on the White Chocolate palette is the logical thing to do. (And thanks Susan, too, for chiming in and you are so right on about TF)!

lol don’t worry! I went crazy at beautyhabit ff and sephora too. But hey, at least we didn’t get burned with this! LOL! it’s true though, I don’t even feel like it is worthy of swatches! Looks like crap!

I love that the first thing Too Faced says about this product is that its a riff on the White Chocolate Chip palette. Thank you TF, you’ve turned me off at the first sentence. Do they not read reviews on their own palettes? Lol. No one is excited to pay for unpigmented hard eyeshadows. I can’t wait for them to boast about a new eyeshadow formula because it would show that they pay attention to their customers just a little.

    • Isabella Muse

LOL! did they really say that?! because White Chocolate Chip was crazy bad!

  • kjh

You all said it. This has the potential to be beyond suckworthy and avoided. Not only that, but it’s scented, and probably has saccharine or other artificial sweeteners. Let the callow youth that do not know better spend their parent’s 50 on a tf pastel loser palette. No one you read/watch will even keep it, if they bought it to review! This is really the Don’t Go There palette, possibly for the year. ( and I rather like pastels…)

    PASS!

Too Faced products are hit or miss for me. I ain’t mad at the company. Love their liquid lipsticks and melted lippies, LOVE their Peaches & Cream matte eyeshadow palette and peach blur finishing powder (and still plan on purchasing the foundation and primer from that collection – they’re getting great reviews!), love their Chocolate bronzer, love their Chocolate Bar palettes, love their Sweet Peach palette (I like the scents, they don’t bother me). Heck, I’m not mad at their liquid latex lipstick; I have Hot Mess and just ordered Strange Love for the $10 sale price.

But I could NOT stand their holiday collection last year, was horribly disappointed in their Nikkie Tutorials collab, and as far as their Natural Mattes palette … it’s good, but I find it boring. And I completely skipped their mini palettes earlier this year, they looked awful.

No way am I going to purchase the Clover palette or this palette. What were they thinking with these colors? Good heavens! I don’t know, the colors in the Clover palette may work for some, but I can’t see myself wearing any of them, and youTube reviews show that they aren’t consistent in quality from one shade to the next. But the colors in this White Chocolate palette, way to totally ignore people with darker skin tones! These won’t work with most any skin tone.

I’ve seen some of their unicorn collection, doubt I’ll get any of them. I’m SURE I won’t get most of them. I’m too old for some of those products, and really … haven’t we had enough of the unicorn stuff already?

I thought Too Faced was getting back in touch with their audience with the Peaches & Cream collection, but then here comes the White Chocolate bar and the Unicorn collection. Are they completely ignoring their audience? Or do they just want to lose everyone over the age of 18?

“and really … haven’t we had enough of the unicorn stuff already?” PREACH SISTER PREACH! I find the unicorn stuff absurd.
