Urban Decay Troublemaker Eyeshadow Palette Available Now

I receive a small commission if you shop through my link.

Urban Decay Troublemaker Eyeshadow Palette ($39) arrives at Ulta.com today with 10 sultry shades of shadow plus a travel-size Troublemaker Mascara. This is an interesting assortment of shades if you’re tried of the typical nude roundup we’ve been getting from brands lately. There are warm reds here, smoky metallic grays, and color shifting shades as well.

Shades:

  • Bailout (pale warm nude matte)
  • Riot (deep metallic copper)
  • 7&7 (medium terra-cotta matte)
  • Relish (rich warm red matte)
  • Clash (soft white with micro-shimmer + blackest black matte)
  • Knockout (chocolate brown matte)
  • Girl Crush (metallic berry)
  • Bankroll (metallic deep green with gold micro-sparkle)
  • Afterhours (soft black satin with iridescent micro-sparkle)

The palette was apparently inspired by Jac Vanek’s style and outspokenness and contains some hidden quotes on the edge of the case which not everyone is exactly a fan of but Urban Decay dubs it as “adding just the right amount of trouble” to the palette. Hmmmm….!

Urban Decay Troublemaker Eyeshadow Palette is available now at ulta.com.

About the Muse

Isabella MuseIsabella is just an average everyday geeky girl who doesn’t blend her eyeshadow correctly, wears too much blush, and hopes she never finds her holy grail products because she likes the thrill of the chase so much. Oh good, more UD palettes for me! Actually, I’m not thrilled with the look of this (repeats!), and it reminds me of the Pulp Fiction palette, especially that half black/half white pan. But I’ve said that before and eventually changed my mind and bought the darn thing, so time (and reviews) will tell.

BTW Relish is available as a single. It’s one of the only single eye shadows I have and it’s really nice.

do I own Relish!? Senior moments! Makeup is starting to all run together now!

Well, googled him, he’s clothing & accessories. Maybe trying too hard to be edgy, which always reads old and stale soon. Makeup bag with ‘When I die, make my ashes into a Smokey eyeshadow palette.’ Funny vs offensive depends on your p.o.v. But I big agree about violence. Think I put the comment in the wrong place….wanted it as a reply to the quote on the UD troublemaker palette box.

  • Emily

Well, Urban Decay, you sure are edgy! No idea who Jac Vanek is, not even tempted to google, but lashes “as long as the people I want to punch in the face”?! I’m not a prude and I don’t think I’m someone who can’t take a joke, but I don’t find that funny even a little bit. I give violence a wide, wide berth. Our country, and the world, is hurting right now. Why a blockbuster brand would promote a message glamorizing heartlessness is just beyond me. I don’t want this palette anywhere near my beloved makeup collection, which is where I turn when I want a break from the cruelty in the world.

    • Isabella Muse

wait, what? where did you read that? Did they post on social media?

      • Emily

Look at the picture of the box. It’s printed on the part of the box that faces front (I can’t think of what that’s called, like the vertical edge I guess?).

      • kjh

It’s on the box. Jac Vanek. Posted wrong place, sorry. Many of the things are too in your face, like a jacket that says Don’t be a Dick. Stuff you might say, but also might be inadvised to wear. I’d never heard of Jac Vanek either. But I think non PC sayings are fine for makeup bags…I’ve got the Rack one that says ‘I am silently correcting your grammar.’ Too bad no one reads it.

Do you see the first picture? (it may take a little longer to load), then click the arrow to the right of the image, which will bring you to the next picture, showing the inside of the palette.

I really like the colors in this palette, but the packaging is bugging me. Hmm.

  • Andrea

OMG MUSE!!! Why would you do this to me!!!
In all honesty, though, this is the first UD palette release that I’ve actually been excited about in AGES. I just haven’t been able to get on board with all the neutrals (from all brands, let’s be real) lately, and this feels more like the classic UD style that I fell in love with in high school during my rebellious phase, lol. I was one of the few people who absolutely loved the ABH Subculture palette, and lately I’ve been all about smokey jewel tones and that specific shade of dusty fuschia-y burgundy! I’m telling myself if I buy this, it’ll be a reward for not buying a single palette in over six months…?!
