Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Moisturizing Coconut Oil Stick ($9.99) is a new multitasking moisturizing stick that can be applied anywhere you require a little more hydration. We’ve seen moisturizing sticks a plenty in the past and I’ve reviewed quite a few right here on Musings of a Muse like the Milk Makeup Cooling Water Stick, E.L.F. Studio Daily Moisture Stick, and Milk Makeup Hydrating Oil Stick and even coconut ones too like the Hard Candy Sheer Envy Coconut Primer Stick.

Stick skincare everything is a fad that was going around quite a bit last year and the year before and is still quite popular in Korea. This is starting to trickle down to the drugstore right now with a multitude of brands trying to top each other in creating that perfect multitasking skincare stick. So far, we’ve seen not one but two different ones from Physician Formula as well as a two from Yes To with plenty more on the way I’m sure.

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Moisturizing Coconut Oil Stick was on my radar almost immediately after it launched. I’m an odd sort because I tend to take super, extra good care of the skin on my face and neck but I’m not as diligent with my body. I don’t really love how body creams feel plus they are so messy to use. This is why I love moisturizing mists but sticks? That’s even more convenient.

Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Moisturizing Coconut Oil Stick is a large, chunky swivel up coconut oil infused moisturizing stick that can be used from the tip of your head right down to your toes. Anywhere you need a little hydration! That includes your feet, knees, legs, even your face should you like (I don’t recommend it though, tell you why shortly!).

This a pretty basic stick without a ton of ingredients. It contains coconut oil as the base plus shea butter, castor oil, and some fragrance as well as glycerols. Considering Coconut Oil is the word of the day lately in the beauty world it comes as no great surprise that Yes To decided to add to their Yes To Coconut Skincare Collection. I generally like this line of products and I enjoyed the Ultra Hydrating Moisturizing Coconut Oil Stick however, I’ve limited to using it on my body. But I digress let me discuss a few other things before I get into why I did that.

First off, this is a fairly dense stick that almost immediately begins to melt upon contact with your warm body or face. It breaks down very fast and goes from a solid to a melty oil that spreads easily anywhere you put it. I was not particularly keen on using it on both my face and body so I purchased two sticks one for each area. I started using it on my really dry areas like my knees, my elbows, and the backs of my heels and was very satisfied with the results. It’s a bit greasy but if you use it overnight you’ll reap the rewards as your skin will feel softer and much smoother. Coconut oil is wonderfully hydrating so you’re doing your dry skin good by using this. For sensitive users, it does have a very light coconut fragrance that I found pleasant but might be appealing to everyone.

Since I was quite happy with the results on my body I decided to crack open my second tube to use under my eyes and on the sides of my nose and forehead where I’m currently quite dry. Sadly, that wasn’t a good idea. I’m not prone to acne but I swear almost instantly upon applying it on my face I thought for sure I was going to break out. I felt quite itchy after using it on my face and was concerned I was going to wake up with huge pimples. Thankfully, that didn’t happen but I’ve learned my lesson about applying this on my face.

Oddly enough, this hasn’t happened when I used products with coconut oil in the past such as Shea Moisture 100% Virgin Coconut Oil Daily Hydration Overnight Facial Oil or even many of Dr Gross’s skincare products which contain small amounts of it. If you are prone to acne don’t apply it on your face as for drier skin like my own you might want to do a patch test on your cheek or neck prior to going to town and apply it all over your face.

All in all, the Yes to Coconut Ultra Hydrating Moisturizing Coconut Oil Stick is quite a nice mess-free way to get a good dose of moisture onto my body. It’s especially easy to use this on my feet and the backs of my heels! I do wish I could use it on my face as well but sadly, that area is a no go.

Anyone try it yet?

Yeah, body, maybe, for ease of use. Julep stick cleanser was a bust, as it melted in not very hot conditions and fell into the bottom of the tube, due to holes in the bottom disc. At least it screwed open and was usable anyway. I hate to think of a puddle of this, but it could be JTT for legs, after bathing.

Oh, this looks nice! I have KP on my arms and have always wanted to try coconut oil for it, but regular coconut oil seems messy messy. This might be the perfect solution!

I tried the cream and is so nice and smooth. Bought one at TJ Max to give it a try and will repurchase. This might be nice too! Thanks!

Isabella, thanks for your review. Will this melt in hot weather, do you know? Thanks!

I imagine it would! I haven’t carried it with me nor did it ship in the Summer but it’s pretty damn hot in NY right now so I think it is safe to say it’ll melt 😀
