Estee Lauder Eyeshadow and Lip Palettes for Spring 2018

Golden Nudes, Intense Nudes, and Red Corals are just some of the new Estee Lauder Eyeshadow Palette and Lip Palette shades launching for Spring 2018 that I want in on. Typically Estee Lauder Bronze Goodness starts popping up around this time of the year but imagine my surprise when I came across these new eyeshadow and lip palettes as they aren’t quite Estee Lauder’s normal offerings (aside from the Bronze Goddness release which does typically contain a shadow palette).

They actually come as a pleasant surprise because Estee Lauder does’t always capture my eye even though they have some very good core products. I tend to look forward to their seasonal releases but they are lacking sometimes. These new palettes I can definitely get excited about.

Each palette contains six shades and there are three lip palettes and three eyeshadow palette shades available all of which are an affordable $25. That’s quite a small price for Estee Lauder which typically toes the line at mid and high-end pricing. Although they are smaller at 0.05 oz per shade so, that could account for the smaller price. But I have so much makeup I really don’t mind the smaller size at all.

Let’s take a look at the shade selection.

I was surprised when I saw these online the other day; definitely unique for EL. I’m interested in all three of the eye shadow palettes but I think I will wait for reviews.

I had the Knockout 14-Shade palettes in Sultry and in Nude (both of which are on sale at Ulta) and they were God-awful. For the price point, the performance was unacceptable; I’ve had drugstore eye shadow perform better than these. You have been warned.

Besides, I’ve sworn off of EL once I found out they aren’t cruelty-free.

The eye shadow palettes look pretty but I’m taking a hard pass on those simply because I own too much eye shadow as is and the color combos aren’t unique. But oh! I can’t resist beautiful lippies! The nudes and reds lip palettes are gorgeous! But do any of us really use lip palettes? **stares at barely used UD Vice palettes** Why do they tempt us with such pretty things, Muse!?

Oh that’s neat – I think Fiery Saffron was one of the Victoria Beckham colors.

These are cute, but Lauder’s continued march to capture the youth market – eh. In total I’m not feeling the palettes. #gettingold #dontcare But I applaud them for having separate lip and shadow palettes!

Ordered! And I had $50 Nordstrom Notes so I got two of the lippies for FREE! Gotta love that!

I like the soft coral eyeshadow palette and all the lippies. This may bust my no buy….

I ordered the Soft Corals and Golden Nudes eye palettes, and had a $20 Nordstrom Note so got both for only $30. They look to be the same size as the Bronze Goddess palette from 2016, which I also have. I hope these are better than that palette was, it was not very pigmented, and cost twice as much. If they are not too good at least they were cheaper.
